Managing all operational aspects of the sailing school, including delivery of the RYA syllabus, day to day management of the team, driving revenue and ensuring yachts are set up to Sunsail and RYA standards<ul><li>Deliver RYA courses aligning with RYA regulations and company standards</li><li>Coordinate paperwork and instructors for all courses</li><li>Drive revenue and promote courses available within resort</li><li>Maintain the standards of training delivered on shore-based courses</li><li>To supervise customer feedback of RYA training and investigate comments where vital</li><li>Liaise with the RYA and other governing bodies to ensure that the syllabus delivered is up to date</li><li>Ensure yachts are clean and set up per the company standards and RYA requirements</li><li>To ensure that any changes in the SOPs are communicated to instructors</li><li>To provide support and mentorship to instructors, and provide ongoing training as vital</li><li>To develop course material to support existing and future course requirements</li><li>Ensure before the yachts set sail accurate paperwork has been completed as per the company and local law requirements</li><li>Ensure company policies and procedures are kept to whilst instructors are at sea</li><li>Lead and empower the instructors</li><li>Provide excellent customer service at all times</li><li>Carry out other duties within your ability as requested by your line manager</li></ul>What we are looking for<ul><li>RYA Yachtmaster Instructor commercially endorsed</li><li>Experience managing a team</li><li>Knowledge of health and safety legislation</li><li>Knowledge of the RYA sailing school syllabus and standards</li><li>Ability to work as a reliable member of the team</li><li>Highly motivated individual</li><li>Good interpersonal skills</li><li>Highly customer orientated</li><li>First aid certificate</li></ul>

Yacht Master Instructor

Sunsail is recruiting base technicians based in Greece and Croatia to work in the Mediterranean for the Summer. Full-season roles are available, and following successful summer placements, winter opportunities may be available.Primary duties will centre around the yachts, the base, and ports of call. Working hours vary, and you MUST be flexible to operational requirements. You are required at times to assist with flotilla duties. At the beginning and end of the season, you may be asked to carry out fleet re-fit/lay-up. The yachts are prepared for the upcoming season or furloughed for winter during these periods. It includes painting, cleaning, repairs, and anything else required to prepare the yacht for the season or place it under furlough.What will you be doing<ul><li>Completing turnaround service checks, yacht preparation, and deck washing</li><li>Briefing clients on the yacht's systems and safety equipment</li><li>Maintenance and repairs to yacht equipment.</li><li>Proactive and preventative daily maintenance checks and repairs.</li><li>Engine servicing, oil and filter checks/changes</li><li>Maintenance of outboards for tenders</li><li>Emergency callouts for breakdowns on any of the fleet</li><li>Ensuring the safety of all clients, including safety briefings</li><li>Assisting clients with queries and problems</li><li>Assisting with the general running of the base</li><li>Any other duties as advised by the Base Manager</li></ul>What we are looking for<ul><li>Experience maintaining diesel engines and 2 &amp; 4-stroke outboard engines</li><li>A clear understanding of 12V DC electrical systems</li><li>Knowledge and a passion to learn about marine plumbing systems.</li><li>Practically minded-with an ability to tackle problems</li><li>Ability to work through pressurised conditions and with time constraints</li><li>Experience in a customer-focused environment</li><li>Sociable and positive personality</li><li>Committed to their team</li><li>Yacht sailing experience is desirable but not crucial</li></ul>Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and InclusionWe believe people perform best when they can be their true selves, and diverse teams drive better results.
