As part of the Clinical Data Sciences (CDS) group, an integral delivery unit within the Clinical Development &amp; Operations (CD&amp;O) organization, the Database Analyst is responsible for the programming of high-quality clinical databases and supporting assigned segments of the Pfizer portfolio. Accountabilities include the design, development, and maintenance of clinical databases, ensuring the integrity of clinical data, application of standards supporting consistency in asset/submission data.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Works closely with department roles and cross-functional study team members to create data capture solutions that support the quality and timely delivery of data required per standard and study specific data review plans&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Complies with applicable SOPs and work practices&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Learns Pfizer database technologies&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Develops knowledge of data capture tools and methods that support the accuracy and integrity of study data&nbsp;</li></ul>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in a Life Science, Computer Science or equivalent&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or Regulatory Agency with an emphasis on building data collection and assimilation solutions&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Experience in Oracle, PL/SQL, SAS, Java, relational database design and database programming skills&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;<ul><li>Technical skills and experience using relational databases (e.g. Oracle InForm, Oracle DMW, MS SQL Server or MS Access)&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Strong communication (written and oral), decision-making, influencing, negotiation, and project management skills&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Understanding of drug development process and data operations required for the reporting of clinical trial data (e.g. data review, study reports, regulatory submissions, safety updates, etc.)&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Understanding of regulatory requirements and relevant data standards; CDISC knowledge and experience are preferable</li></ul>

The Senior Cloud Engineer is a technical leader within the Cloud Engineering organization, responsible for designing, building, and evolving secure, scalable, and highly automated cloud platforms across a multi-cloud environment. This role plays a critical part in defining cloud standards, reference architectures, and engineering best practices that enable product teams to deliver reliable, well architected solutions at scale.The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on cloud engineering expertise, strong Infrastructure as Code and automation skills, and the ability to influence platform direction through technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural contributions.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESCloud Engineering &amp; Architecture<ul><li>Design, implement, and evolve cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, aligning with enterprise architecture principles and security standards.</li><li>Lead the development and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, OpenTofu, or similar tools, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reusability.</li><li>Own and enhance reusable cloud modules, patterns, and reference architectures used across the organization.</li><li>Partner with architects and senior stakeholders to define secure, resilient, and cost‑efficient cloud designs.</li><li>Review and provide guidance on cloud designs and IaC contributions from other engineers.</li></ul>Platform Automation &amp; Tooling<ul><li>Design and implement end‑to‑end automation for cloud provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.</li><li>Lead improvements to CI/CD and IaC automation pipelines using platforms such as Spacelift, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tooling.</li><li>Drive initiatives to improve deployment reliability, reduce configuration drift, and increase platform self‑service.</li><li>Evaluate and introduce new tooling or approaches that improve developer experience and platform maturity.</li></ul>Security, Compliance &amp; Operations<ul><li>Define and enforce cloud guardrails, policies, and controls to ensure secure and compliant platforms.</li><li>Integrate security and compliance requirements into IaC and automation workflows (policy as code).</li><li>Establish and improve observability, monitoring, and alerting for cloud platforms.</li><li>Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex cloud infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis for incidents.</li><li>Collaborate with security, risk, and compliance teams to support audits, regulatory requirements, and governance initiatives.</li></ul>Collaboration &amp; Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Act as a technical mentor for Cloud Engineers, supporting skill development and engineering best practices.</li><li>Collaborate closely with application teams, SRE, security, and architecture to deliver end‑to‑end cloud solutions.</li><li>Drive platform modernization initiatives, identifying opportunities to automate, optimize, standardize, and simplify.</li><li>Contribute to technical documentation, standards, and knowledge sharing to uplift cloud engineering maturity.</li><li>Participate in architectural discussions and influence platform strategy through well‑reasoned technical proposals.</li></ul>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.</li><li>5+ years of hands-on cloud or platform engineering experience.</li><li>Strong proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with production scale experience.</li><li>Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform strongly preferred).</li><li>Strong automation and scripting skills (Python strongly preferred).</li><li>Deep understanding of cloud networking, identity, security, and cloud native services.</li><li>Experience working in global, cross functional engineering environments.</li><li>Ability to lead technical initiatives and make architectural decisions.</li><li>Technically curious, self driven, and committed to continuous improvement.</li><li>Strong problem solving and analytical mindset, especially for complex cloud systems.</li><li>Comfortable operating with high ownership and autonomy.</li><li>Able to influence technical direction and mentor others through collaboration and clear communication.</li><li>Customer focused mindset with the ability to balance engineering excellence and business outcomes.</li></ul>
