You will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and scaling automation solutions for their Shared Backup environment and Commvault Backup &amp; Recovery platform&nbsp;(Windows Server–based). Working closely with fellow engineers, you will help drive efficiency, reliability, and compliance in a fast-evolving infrastructure. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain and expand automation within the Backup environment (Commvault).</li><li>Define and implement standards and best practices for infrastructure and applications.</li><li>Design, test, and manage automation tools covering development, implementation, and operational processes.</li><li>Build and maintain&nbsp;CI/CD pipelines&nbsp;(Jenkins, GitLab) and integrate with REST APIs.</li><li>Manage the automation ticket queue: bug fixing, feature requests, and product improvements.</li><li>Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.</li><li>Participate in&nbsp;24/7 on-call rotation&nbsp;(one week at a time).</li></ul>Requirements (Must-Have)<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or 3–5 years’ demonstrable experience as an Automation Engineer.</li><li>Strong knowledge of&nbsp;Python,&nbsp;PowerShell,&nbsp;Ansible,&nbsp;Jenkins, and&nbsp;Git.</li><li>Proven experience in&nbsp;Windows environments&nbsp;(Linux knowledge is an advantage).</li><li>Familiarity with DevOps principles and automation practices.</li><li>Ability to work independently, proactively, and with high attention to detail.</li></ul>Nice to Have<ul><li>Knowledge of&nbsp;Commvault Workflows, Sentry, Poetry, Splunk.</li><li>Familiarity with&nbsp;Agile/Kanban methodologies.</li><li>Exposure to both Windows and Linux operating systems.</li></ul>
