Intellectica is recruiting on behalf of its client, a rapidly growing group of companies active in architecture, construction, and hospitality development, headquartered in Athens. The company is currently seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer for a full-time, year-round position. The role will be based on-site in Koufonisia, supporting the construction of a high-end hospitality project currently in its concrete phase, with delivery expected by May. The successful candidate, reporting directly to the Lead Engineer, will act as the company’s on-site representative, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline adherence.Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:<ul><li>Maintaining a consistent on-site presence in Koufonisia, serving as the company’s primary representative to oversee project execution and ensure alignment with design specifications, timelines, and quality standards</li><li>Supervising on-site construction activities to ensure accurate implementation of architectural and structural plans; validating that execution aligns with approved drawings and timelines, resolving discrepancies as needed</li><li>Managing and coordinating multiple teams, crews, and subcontractors on-site, resolving technical issues as they arise</li><li>Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the construction lifecycle</li><li>Serving as the company’s on-site liaison, maintaining clear and effective communication with contractors, suppliers, and internal engineering teams</li><li>Preparing and managing detailed project budgets and cost estimations for building works</li><li>Collecting, evaluating, and negotiating subcontractor and supplier offers to ensure cost-effectiveness</li><li>Monitoring project financials and ensuring alignment with company targets for cost and quality</li><li>Tracking project milestones and construction progress using modern project management tools</li><li>Providing regular updates to the central engineering team, flagging risks and proposing mitigation strategies</li><li>Supporting documentation and reporting for internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Traveling to other project sites within or outside Attica as required</li><li>Any other tasks that may be required from time to time</li></ul>Professional experience &amp; qualifications of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field</li><li>PMP certification from PMI is a plus</li><li>At least 5 years of proven experience in construction site management within a technical or construction company</li><li>Proven experience managing medium to large-scale hospitality projects</li><li>Strong knowledge of construction methods, structural works and site operations</li><li>Solid understanding of budgeting and cost control in construction</li><li>Strong proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD (or equivalent design software); SAP knowledge is a plus</li><li>Valid driving license</li><li>Fluency in both Greek and English (written and spoken)</li></ul>Core competencies of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Strong organizational, time-management, and coordination skills</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities</li><li>Creative problem-solving and adaptability</li><li>High attention to detail and commitment to quality</li><li>Proactive and eager to stay updated with industry developments</li></ul>
