Deree – The American College of Greece (ACG) is seeking candidates for the position of Part-Time Instructor in International Law. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in International Law within a multidisciplinary academic environment. We are particularly interested in applicants who combine legal training (law degree and professional practice) with a strong background in International Relations and International Law.Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Degree in Law (LLB/LLM/JD or equivalent).</li><li>Demonstrated academic background in International Law and International Relations (e.g., coursework, postgraduate study, research, or substantial professional engagement with IR-relevant legal fields).</li><li>Professional experience as a lawyer (bar admission and/or documented legal practice).</li><li>Teaching experience in undergraduate and/or graduate programs, preferably at an English-speaking institution.</li><li>Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written).</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>LLM and/or PhD in International Law, International Relations, or a closely related field.</li><li>Teaching and/or practice experience in areas such as Public International Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Human Rights Law, International Criminal Law, Law of the Sea, Use of Force, International Organizations, EU External Relations, or related fields.</li><li>Ability to integrate case law, treaties, and contemporary policy debates into student-centered teaching.</li><li>Experience with online or hybrid teaching.</li></ul>General Skills:<ul><li>Strong commitment to student-centered learning and an interactive classroom environment.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative academic team.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and reliability.</li></ul>
