We are seeking a talented Metrology Engineering Intern who will support the metrology activities in our team in Athens.Τι θα κάνετε<ul><li>Assist in measuring mechanical parts and assemblies using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, CMM, OMM and Optical Scanner.</li><li>Support dimensional and visual inspections of components against engineering drawings and GD&amp;T standards requirements.</li><li>Design and implementation of jigs and fixtures for new product introductions.</li><li>Record, organize, and report measurement and inspection data accurately.</li><li>Help prepare inspection reports, first article inspections, and nonconformance documentation.</li><li>Assist with setup, operation, and basic maintenance of metrology equipment and fixtures.</li><li>Support gauge and equipment calibration tracking and verification activities.</li><li>Work with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to investigate dimensional issues and improve inspection methods.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized metrology or inspection area.</li><li>Maintain documentation of measurement results according to Tesla standards</li></ul>Τι θα έχετε μαζί σας<ul><li>Currently enrolled in a degree for Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.</li><li>A basic understanding of GD&amp;T (ASME Y14.5 standards) and the ability to read technical drawings.</li><li>Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) or metrology software (PC-DMIS, Calypso) is a significant plus.</li><li>Familiarity with standard measurement tools and inspection techniques.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>English fluently in speaking, reading and writing.</li></ul>

Metrology Technician Internship

The prototyping lab in Athens Engineering Office is seeking a talented engineering technician to help advance Tesla’s mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy. The prototyping lab supports engineering operations across Tesla.Τι θα κάνετε<ul><li>Assemble complex mechanical parts.</li><li>Cut material, build tooling, set fixtures, run programs, deburr, and finish parts.</li><li>Operate LASER cutting tool.</li><li>Use various inspection and measurement tools to validate assemblies.</li><li>Tracking and documentation of prototyping processes and results when necessary.</li><li>Collaborate openly with engineers and team members to find solutions, and proactively communicate with them through verbal, email, phone, and other internal electronic channels.</li><li>Perform calibrations on equipment.</li><li>Complete required preventive maintenance.</li><li>Provide feedback on manufacturing methods and technologies.</li><li>Collaborate with design engineers to gain an in-depth understanding of the design intend and independently work towards the most effective solution.</li><li>Conduct experiments in accordance with all safety, quality, and efficiency standards by following written and verbal work instructions.&nbsp;</li><li>Design fixtures and equipment for testing in prototype and production environment.</li><li>Maintain clean and safe work areas.&nbsp;</li></ul>Τι θα έχετε μαζί σας<ul><li>Ability to identify and procure effective tooling and work-holding solutions.</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings, documents, and GD&amp;T</li><li>Thorough knowledge in measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, bore gauges, optical comparator, etc.</li><li>Experience with material removal processes.</li><li>Demonstrate innovation, technical excellence, attention to detail and self-direction.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and mathematical competency</li><li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment with tight deadline.</li><li>English fluently in speaking, reading and writing.</li><li>Ability to lift 25 kg on a daily basis.</li></ul>
