We look forward to getting to know you.&nbsp; full time - unlimitedYour contribution to the energy transitionAs our&nbsp;Commissioning Engineer, you will be actively involved in commissioning of Solar PV projects in various countries within the EMEA region with the focus in Greece. The position is site based with travelling from project to project.&nbsp;&nbsp;An estimate of 80% travelling to various sites within Greece.&nbsp;You can look forward to the following tasks:Planning and Coordination:<ul><li>Develop detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures to ensure all systems are tested and verified according to project specifications</li><li>Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and installation teams to align commissioning activities with overall project timelines in close cooperation with the Commissioning manager</li><li>Specify test and commissioning requirements; and review test and commissioning protocols / procedures submitted by original equipment manufacturers, product suppliers and system integrators</li><li>Coordinating and Execute construction handover to commissioning</li><li>Manage external supplier on site during commissioning activity</li></ul>System Testing and Validation:<ul><li>You'll oversee on-site commissioning activities, ensuring proper installation, system integrity, and compliance with technical and safety standards</li><li>Conduct pre-commissioning inspections to verify that all components are installed correctly and meet design specifications</li><li>Perform functional tests on PV systems, including inverters, transformers, and other electrical components, to ensure they operate as intended</li><li>Validate system performance against design criteria and industry standards, ensuring optimal operation and efficiency</li><li>You'll conduct tests to ensure the installation meets connection standards and Grid code regulations.</li><li>Execution and supervision of SCADA system test and commissioning</li></ul>Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:<ul><li>Identify and diagnose issues that arise during the commissioning process, such as equipment malfunctions or installation errors</li><li>Implement corrective actions to resolve identified issues, ensuring systems are fully operational and meet performance standards</li></ul>Safety and Compliance:<ul><li>Ensure all commissioning activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards</li><li>Develop and enforce safety procedures to protect personnel and equipment during the commissioning process</li></ul>Documentation and Reporting:<ul><li>Maintain detailed records of all tests, inspections, and issues encountered during commissioning</li><li>Prepare comprehensive reports documenting the commissioning process, test results, and any deviations from design specification</li></ul>Training and Support:<ul><li>Provide training to O&amp;M teams on the proper operation and maintenance of PV systems</li><li>Offer ongoing technical support to ensure systems continue to operate efficiently and effectively</li></ul>Continuous Improvement:<ul><li>Review and refine commissioning procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness for future projects</li><li>Incorporate feedback from project teams and clients to improve commissioning practices and outcomes</li></ul>These responsibilities ensure that PV systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, ultimately contributing to the successful deployment of solar energy projects.Your energy is requiredYou impress us with these qualifications:<ul><li>Applicant should hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in commissioning photovoltaic plants</li><li>Demonstrate excellent knowledge of PV systems, inverters, transformers, SCADA systems, and grid code compliance testing</li><li>Familiar with commissioning protocols, industry standards, and safety regulations</li><li>Read and interpret complex electrical diagrams and schematics is a must</li><li>Able to work both independently and in a team</li><li>Experience with Insulation resistance test and related instrumentation and procedure (from 1KV to 10kV)</li><li>Experience with MV cable withstand test (VLF test)</li><li>Experience with MV/HV energization procedure</li><li>Experience with MV (fixed and withdrawable) switchgear manoeuvre</li><li>Experience in cable fault locating is nice to have</li><li>Experienced in LOTO procedure</li><li>Knowledge on configuring protection relays</li><li>Knowledge to operate testing kits like primary and secondary injection kit, HV voltage test kit Testing experience of HV protection relays, HV breakers and Transmission line</li><li>Knowledge of SCADA systems from different technologies and manufacturers is nice to have.</li><li>Troubleshooting skill</li><li>Willing to perform commissioning activity/works at site</li><li>Willing to work under pressure</li><li>Willing to travel</li><li>Fluent English Speaking and writing</li><li>Excellent organizational and communication skills</li><li>Office package and advanced MS Excel knowledge is a must</li></ul>
