In addition to teaching/scholarly work, the Psychology Coordinator will provide a high standard of academic-related administrative support to the program under the guidance of the Chair of the Humanities and Social Sciences. In return, the Coordinator will enjoy a limited teaching load.The Coordinator will directly report to and closely work with the Division Chair to plan and implement the following activities:<ul><li>Plan, schedule and staff all courses for the Psychology programs, and those that are offered as service to other majors/special programs according to college, discipline, and departmental guidelines.</li><li>Review, evaluate, and revise program curricula and practices to assure compliance with academic and professional standards as well as state-mandated &amp; accreditation and validation guidelines.</li><li>Plan and offer such courses as appropriate for students with differing educational and experiential backgrounds and learning styles.</li><li>Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives and inform them of their progress in the course in a timely manner.</li><li>Advise students on an individual basis regarding the courses they need to take in order to graduate.</li><li>Keep accurate student records and submit related annual reports and forms within the requested timelines.</li><li>Establish new or reinforce existing relations with relevant parties/institutions and aim to increase student employability via internships or joint academic/professional trainings.</li><li>Coordinate the hiring process of new faculty and evaluate all Psychology faculty on an annual basis.</li><li>Assist in promotional activities of the program and other related programs in conjunction with the Marketing and Enrollment offices.</li><li>Organize program-related workshops, activities and events.</li><li>Participate in standing or ad hoc committees and oversee the daily administration of the program.</li></ul>Position Requirements<ul><li>A doctoral Degree in Counselling Psychology or Neuropsychology or Social Psychology is required.</li><li>A minimum of 5-year University/College level teaching experience or other relevant work experience is required. University/College level teaching experience at a US-accredited higher education institution is preferred. British higher education experience is also important.</li><li>Published work in peer-reviewed journals and conferences commensurable with the rank of Associate/Full Professor.</li></ul>Skills, Knowledge and Abilities<ul><li>Proficiency in the development of relevant course curriculum and course design</li><li>Proficiency in teaching and course delivery</li><li>Knowledge of the latest teaching benchmarks and evolving teaching and learning trends</li><li>Use of effective methodologies and support activities that encourage student learning</li><li>Experience in an environment with sensitivity to people of diverse academic and&nbsp;cultural backgrounds</li><li>Strong interpersonal and team development skills</li><li>Self-discipline and ability to effectively manage others</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills in English as well as proficiency in online teaching platforms.
