Intellectica is recruiting a dynamic Logistics Associate on behalf of a UK-based startup revolutionizing the recycling industry with data-driven AI. Based ideally in Greece with the ability to work remotely and reporting to the Head of Fulfilment, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing international shipments across challenging regions, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting the company’s transition to more profitable logistics deals. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love solving logistics puzzles, and want to make a real-world impact, this is your opportunity!Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:<ul><li>Lead the planning and execution of international road and sea shipments, ensuring alignment with business priorities and customer expectations</li><li>Collaborate with the Fulfilment team to continuously improve logistics workflows and contribute to broader operational strategy</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and transport providers across Africa, South America, and Europe</li><li>Negotiate and coordinate transport arrangements to optimize cost, reliability, and delivery timelines</li><li>Prepare and review all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin</li><li>Ensure full compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and waste-related documentation standards</li><li>Monitor shipments proactively to identify and resolve issues such as delays, rollovers, or customs bottlenecks</li><li>Take initiative to implement corrective actions and escalate complex problems when necessary</li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date logistics data on the company’s digital platform</li><li>Coordinate closely with internal teams including Quality, Compliance, and Finance to ensure smooth execution of shipments</li><li>Any other task that may be required from time to time</li></ul>Professional experience &amp; qualifications of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field</li><li>Minimum 3 years’ experience in international logistics operations</li><li>Proven experience managing shipments across global regions, including complex and less commonly traded routes</li><li>Solid understanding of import/export documentation and customs processes</li><li>Background in start-up or fast-paced environments is a plus</li><li>Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish or French) are a plus</li></ul>Core competencies of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Ability to thrive in dynamic environments and adapt quickly to shifting priorities or business models</li><li>Creative and instinct-led: able to approach challenges with originality and trust intuition to navigate ambiguity</li><li>Demonstrated sense of responsibility and ownership of work</li><li>Strong proactive problem-solving skills</li><li>Collaborative in remote settings: able to communicate clearly and build strong working relationships across distributed teams</li></ul>The company offers:<ul><li>Competitive compensation (14 monthly payments) with attractive equity options</li><li>26 days of annual leave, plus all national holidays (holidays are flexible and can be taken when it suits you)</li><li>Flexible working hours</li><li>Fully remote role based in Europe</li><li>Professional development and wellness budgets (CPD)</li><li>Well-being allowance</li><li>Home office equipment allowance</li></ul>Apply Now
