Post Fixtures Officer

Fire, Safety & Rescue Services Operator

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Organizes and coordinates the purchasing of supplies required by the Technical and Marine, Safety &amp; Quality Department, in an efficient and effective manner and based on the required specifications.</li><li>Obtains quotations from the “approved” suppliers, prepares comparison tables and submits to the Supplies Manager and the Procurement Director.</li><li>Maintains and expands the “Approved Vendors” list.</li><li>Negotiates prices, if required, and prepares the relevant evaluation forms.</li><li>Places orders in accordance with the approvals obtained and ensures that each purchase order is recorded to the electronic purchasing system and that the supply cycle operates effectively.</li><li>Cooperates with the Forwarding department for the delivery of the supplies onboard the vessel and instructs suppliers, Master and Agents accordingly.</li><li>Verifies completion of delivery and collects all supporting documentation.</li><li>Checks the relevant invoices and attaches the vessels’ confirmation of receipt for relevant supplies in order to proceed with the payment process.</li><li>Follows up until the vessel confirms that the supplies have been delivered onboard.</li><li>Creates and maintains systems, subsystems, items and the database for supplies in Navision application electronic system.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor degree in any discipline, preferably in Shipping.</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li><li>MS Office literacy.</li><li>Knowledge of Navision will be an asset.</li><li>Excellent communication and negotiation skills.</li></ul>

Supplies Operator

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Organizes and implements courses of action for matters of technical nature arising onboard vessels.</li><li>Instructs, coordinates and monitors works / repairs.</li><li>Follows up on the maintenance status, condition and operation of assigned vessels and co-operates with the crew, in order to ensure that assigned vessels are operating in a safe and efficient manner.</li><li>Attends vessels and periodically sails on-board to ensure the technical condition of the equipment.</li><li>Monitors and verifies vessel’s performance, supervises repairs, reports findings, follows-up closure of defects etc.</li><li>Provides training and technical advice to shipboard personnel, as necessary.</li><li>Implements effectively preventive maintenance of ship’s hull, main machinery, deck machinery, etc.</li><li>Monitors Class and Flag State requirements and plans required surveys accordingly.</li><li>Deals with any damage repairs or modifications, preserving the vessels commercial competence.</li><li>Monitors all technical problems, major defects and follows-up, until corrective action is verified.</li><li>Controls and monitors the lub-oil and bunker quality and consumption.</li><li>Prepares repairs / conversions, dry-docking, special surveys, damage and voyage repairs, and specifications and supervises the execution of all such works.</li><li>Attends delivery of new acquisitions.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:1.
