As a Cargo Operator in Trafigura you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of physical shipments (bulk, containers, trucks and rail), identifying the safest and most cost-effective way to transport commodities from point of origin to point of destination. In this role, you will be involved in a broad range of activities that include but are not limited to logistics, contract execution, risk management &amp; PnL controlling, maintain relationships with Client/Contractors and internal stakeholders.Our Cargo Operators are passionate about logistics and supply chain, exceptional problem solvers who are able to think analytically even under pressure, self-driven and energetic professionals able to adapt to ever-changing conditions with their great organization skills and attention to detail.Required Qualifications<ul><li>Education</li></ul>University Degree or equivalent experience<ul><li>Experience</li></ul>Minimum 2 years of work experience in logistics and supply chain or shipping<ul><li>Technical Skills</li></ul>Strong computer skills in MS Office applicationsProficient skills in Microsoft Excel<ul><li>Knowledge &amp; Competencies</li></ul>Good understanding of logistical chainKnowledge of risks involved in logistics operationsUnderstanding of best practices to deliver proper execution of trade<ul><li>Language Requirements</li></ul>Fluent English (spoken and written)Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Education</li></ul>STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Economics degree<ul><li>Language Skills</li></ul>Knowledge of French or Spanish languageAttributes for success<ul><li>Strong communication and numerical skills</li><li>Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complexity</li><li>Ability to work in fast-paced and high-pressure environment</li><li>Organization skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to take initiatives and ensure accountability</li><li>Open personality with energy and drive</li></ul>Key Responsibilities•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Coordinate deliveries from/ to the counterparties•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Arrange logistics (inland and sea) to execute a trade•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Manage operational costs•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Review purchase invoices and coordinate payments to Suppliers•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Prepare sales invoices•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Arrange for weighing and sampling of the product•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Arrange for quality determination of product•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Coordinate customs clearance of the cargo•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Manage stock (inventory) positions•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ensure internal systems are updated in a timely and diligent mannerWork Authorization:We welcome applications from candidates across the globe.
