As a System Architect for embedded systems, you will be a part of the Olympia Electronics Research and Development department. Together with a team consisting of a project manager and hardware and software designers, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, certification and manufacturing process of addressable panels on emergency lighting, addressable fire alarm and central battery lighting systems. You will work in a dynamic environment and be part of a workplace where your day to day will involve working as a team on world-class products.Your key responsibilities include<ul><li>Drawing up specifications and designing firmware solutions based on project requirements</li><li>Carrying out or supervising feasibility studies</li><li>Successfully communicate all concepts and guidelines to development team</li><li>Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and test engineers</li><li>Contributing to schematic design and managing PCB layout</li><li>Contributing to firmware architecture and development, engineering tests and product validation</li><li>supervising the design, implementation, testing and documentation related to the firmware and hardware code.</li></ul>&nbsp;What you bring to the team:<ul><li>Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Applied Computer Science or related technical field</li><li>Proven industry experience in the end-to-end development life cycle, from the initial concept to production (including architecture, design, development, debugging, documentation, and validation)</li><li>Minimum 5 years of C and C++ coding experience in embedded firmware</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of electronics</li><li>Deep understanding of embedded architecture concepts (CPU core, internal and external memories, CPU peripherals)</li><li>Experience programming MCUs and RTOS such as FreeRTOS</li><li>Experience with Cortex-M Processors (M0, M0+, M3, M4, M7)</li><li>Experience with Linux System / Kernel Development</li><li>Experience identifying hardware requirements based on firmware requirements</li><li>Experience in version control (Git) and issues tracking (Jira)</li><li>Experience with UML and other modeling methods</li><li>Experience in designing schematics on analog, digital and power electronics domain</li><li>Experience in serial protocols (UART, SPI, I2C)</li><li>Ability to navigate, understand &amp; adapt large existing codebases</li><li>Ability in risk assessment and problem solving during the product’s life cycle development&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to use block diagrams, conceptual sketches, pseudo-code and other techniques of project designing</li><li>Excellent team working skills is a must, both internally within the R&amp;D department as well as across departments</li><li>Fluency in English both written and spoken</li></ul>Nice to have:<ul><li>Good knowledge of PCB design guidelines for achieving EMC with minimal EMI</li><li>Familiarity of object-oriented programming concepts, preferably in C++</li><li>Familiarity of Web concepts (Ethernet, WiFi, Cloud Services, Cyber Security)</li></ul>What we offer:&nbsp;<ul><li>A competive salary scheme</li><li>The opportunity to work on high-end projects, for products distributed worldwide to major clients</li><li>A chance to join a globally established company with skills development opportunities and an excellent working environment</li><li>Flexible working hours</li></ul>&nbsp;About Olympia ElectronicsOlympia Electronics is a world-known company located in Aiginio, just 25 minutes away from Thessaloniki city center.We provide the market with cutting-edge and innovative solutions in the field of safety systems that mainly includes products of security lighting, fire alarms, gas detectors, burglar alarm systems and more.Olympia Electronics exports to 72 countries and collaborates with establishedkey players in the safety systems market.If you want to become a valuable member of our team, please send us your CV directly to&nbsp;cv@olympia-electronics.gr
