Part of our Galley team on our River vessels, the Chef de Partie prepares meals to the fullest satisfaction of our guests in accordance with Viking River Cruises Standards and HACCP rules. RIVER - Chef de Partie

The position is full-time for one year and may be renewable upon agreement of all parties. The successful candidate will directly report to the Academic Dean and have a record of professional experience that demonstrates the ability to undertake the following:<ul><li>Develop a mission that supports the particular goals of the Division and ACT’s broader goals.</li><li>Build strong relationships with the community.</li><li>Represent the interests of the Science &amp; Technology Division to ACT’s administration and outside constituencies.</li><li>Provide a key communication link between the ACT administration and Division faculty.</li><li>Develop partnerships with other universities.</li><li>Promote excellence in teaching, research and service.</li><li>Oversee the departmental assessment process and conduct periodic program reviews.</li><li>Oversee accreditation &amp; validation reviews.</li><li>Drive program development, evaluation and growth.</li><li>Oversee external grants, special programs and development projects.</li><li>Coordinate the division’s curricula with the relevant coordinator(s).</li><li>Assist in hiring new faculty.</li><li>Oversee faculty development and evaluation.</li><li>Assist in new student recruitment.</li><li>Oversee retention of majors.</li><li>Oversee student affairs, including advising and internships.</li><li>Develop and monitor the Division budget.</li></ul>Position Requirements<ul><li>A doctoral Degree in an academic area that relates to the Science and Technology division. Preference will be given to candidates with background in the broad area of computing.</li><li>Demonstrated record of academic and professional achievement in higher education.</li><li>Demonstrated record of successful leadership and administrative experience in academic settings.</li><li>Excellent command of the English language.</li><li>Excellence in oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Interest and experience in developing partnerships with schools in the US and with the community in Greece.</li><li>Demonstrated teaching experience and ability to teach in one of the areas offered by the Science and Technology Division. A minimum of six years of university/college level teaching experience or other relevant work experience is required. Chair in the Division of Science and Technology

THE RECERTIFICATION PROGRAM: OCEAN TO RIVER<ul><li>In the&nbsp;program you will develop all skills, knowledge and experience needed to become a Second Officer at Viking on the Rhine, Danube or in France. The training will focus on:</li><li>Getting all theoretical knowledge to obtain a Captain&nbsp;license (incl. VHF)</li><li>Learning the necessary stretches of the Rhine river, with stretch exam preparation Amsterdam-Cologne</li><li>Operating and manoeuvring the Viking Longships in onboard and simulator&nbsp;training.</li><li>Sailing in a sailor position for the first approx. 7-9 months</li></ul>&nbsp;The program is managed by a designated trainer team. They visit the ships and check in with you and your Captain, help with exam organization and coordinate the theoretical training.&nbsp;The duration of the program is 12-18 months, and upon successful completion you will be offered a contract as Second Officer at Viking. All costs of the training and exams are covered by Viking. RIVER - Recertification Program Ocean to River - Nautic - 2nd Officer in Training

The American College of Thessaloniki (ACT) is seeking applications for a faculty position in Psychology at the rank of Associate/Full Professor who would also serve as the Coordinator of the BS in Psychology and MS in Industrial &amp; Organizational Psychology programs. The position is a full-time assignment for one year starting July 1st, 2025 and may be renewable upon agreement of all parties. In addition to teaching/scholarly work, the Psychology Coordinator will provide a high standard of academic-related administrative support to the program under the guidance of the Chair of the Humanities and Social Sciences. In return, the Coordinator will enjoy a limited teaching load.The Coordinator will directly report to and closely work with the Division Chair to plan and implement the following activities:<ul><li>Plan, schedule and staff all courses for the Psychology programs, and those that are offered as service to other majors/special programs according to college, discipline, and departmental guidelines.</li><li>Review, evaluate, and revise program curricula and practices to assure compliance with academic and professional standards as well as state-mandated &amp; accreditation and validation guidelines.</li><li>Plan and offer such courses as appropriate for students with differing educational and experiential backgrounds and learning styles.</li><li>Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives and inform them of their progress in the course in a timely manner.</li><li>Advise students on an individual basis regarding the courses they need to take in order to graduate.</li><li>Keep accurate student records and submit related annual reports and forms within the requested timelines.</li><li>Establish new or reinforce existing relations with relevant parties/institutions and aim to increase student employability via internships or joint academic/professional trainings.</li><li>Coordinate the hiring process of new faculty and evaluate all Psychology faculty on an annual basis.</li><li>Assist in promotional activities of the program and other related programs in conjunction with the Marketing and Enrollment offices.</li><li>Organize program-related workshops, activities and events.</li><li>Participate in standing or ad hoc committees and oversee the daily administration of the program.</li></ul>Position Requirements<ul><li>A doctoral Degree in Counselling Psychology or Neuropsychology or Social Psychology is required.</li><li>A minimum of 5-year University/College level teaching experience or other relevant work experience is required. University/College level teaching experience at a US-accredited higher education institution is preferred.
