Design Supervisor - Electrical

Conduct ongoing market research for key MEP systems and packages (e.g., HVAC plant, ductwork, pipework, electrical distribution, lighting, UPS/generators, fire protection, controls/BMS), tracking price movements, availability, lead times, and supplier/installer capacity. The Role The Project Engineers will be responsible for the coordination, execution, and technical follow-up of their assigned project scope throughout all project phases, from engineering and procurement to construction and commissioning. Working closely with Engineering Providers, Vendors, Subcontractors, and the Project Management Team, the successful candidates will ensure that engineering, procurement, and construction activities are delivered according to project specifications, budget, schedule, quality standards, environmental requirements, and strict Health &amp; Safety criteria. Key Responsibilities ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Manage and coordinate all engineering activities related to the assigned project area.&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Support permitting and environmental activities by coordinating technical inputs and engineering deliverables.&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Review and approve engineering deliverables issued by Engineering Providers, Vendors, and Subcontractors, ensuring technical compliance, quality, completeness, and timely issuance.&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Lead and participate in technical reviews, including HSED reviews, constructability reviews, layout reviews, and design maturity assessments.&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Ensure technically robust and cost-effective engineering solutions while proactively identifying project risks and mitigation actions.&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Manage interfaces and technical coordination between subcontractors, vendors, utilities, and existing plant systems.&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Organize and maintain technical documentation and ensure proper document control throughout the project lifecycle.&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Prepare technical specifications and technical sections for engineering services, procurement packages, and construction contracts.&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Lead technical clarifications during tendering processes and participate in vendor/subcontractor evaluation, technical bid analysis, negotiations, and selection.&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Coordinate technical follow-up of vendors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project requirements, applicable regulations, and safety standards.&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases, including handling modifications, resolving non-conformities, and ensuring timely delivery of engineering documentation to site teams.&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Participate in the preparation of construction schedules, commissioning activities, acceptance procedures, and project implementation planning.&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Monitor engineering progress, identify schedule deviations and potential cost impacts, and support project controls and reporting activities.&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Apply collaborative working methodologies and engineering digital tools while ensuring proper collection and organization of final project documentation.&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Support maintenance readiness activities by ensuring proper documentation, inspection routines, and maintenance requirements for new equipment.&nbsp;Key Success Factors &amp; Prerequisites: ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to manage and coordinate complex technical scopes and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a proactive and structured approach. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Effective coordination and communication with engineering partners, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong organizational and planning capabilities with clear reporting and progress monitoring skills. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to work effectively in demanding, fast-paced industrial project environments. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Availability for meetings and visits to Designers, Vendors, Subcontractors, and project sites.&nbsp;What are we looking for● &nbsp; &nbsp;Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s degree is considered an asset. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Proven experience in engineering management and project execution in heavy industries. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience in large-scale industrial projects relevant to the role. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong multidisciplinary technical background enabling effective review and coordination of engineering deliverables. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Good understanding of industrial utilities, equipment integration, and construction interfaces. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience in managing Engineering Providers, Vendors, and Subcontractors in complex industrial environments. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Knowledge of relevant industrial standards, engineering practices, and regulatory requirements. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Proficiency with engineering and coordination tools (AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar). ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to perform effectively in demanding, fast-paced project environments. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Solid understanding of industrial safety standards and procedures.&nbsp;What we offer you● &nbsp; &nbsp;Participation in one of Europe’s most ambitious industrial decarbonization projects. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;A collaborative work environment in a leading industrial organization. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Competitive compensation and benefits package. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Professional growth and long-term development opportunities.
