Intellectica is seeking a highly motivated and experienced&nbsp;Datacenter Engineer&nbsp;on behalf of a leader in the global mobility industry. Based in Athens, Greece, and reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, operating, and optimizing the company’s datacenter infrastructure.Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:<ul><li>Designing, implementing, and managing the company’s on-premises datacenter infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability</li><li>Monitoring and maintaining server hardware, storage systems, and network components, utilizing tools such as Nagios and Grafana</li><li>Administering virtualization technologies, particularly Microsoft Hyper-V, and support hybrid cloud integrations where necessary</li><li>Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting x86-based server hardware, storage solutions (SAN, NAS, DAS), and networking components</li><li>Managing and optimizing backup and disaster recovery strategies using tools like Veeam and NetBackup to ensure business continuity</li><li>Overseeing network administration, including VLANs, firewalls, and IP management, ensuring a secure and efficient infrastructure</li><li>Automating infrastructure processes through scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)</li><li>Collaborating with security teams to implement and maintain compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR, SOC 2) and security best practices</li><li>Participating in IT infrastructure projects, system integration testing, and the development of technical documentation</li><li>Any other task that may be required from time to time</li></ul>Professional experience &amp; qualifications of a successful candidate:<ul><li>University Degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field</li><li>Certifications such as Cisco CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or Azure Solutions Architect are highly desirable</li><li>5-7 years&nbsp;of experience in datacenter engineering, system administration, or IT Infrastructure management</li><li>Hands-on experience working&nbsp;in a datacenter environment, with a strong focus on&nbsp;on-premises infrastructure</li><li>Proficiency in server hardware, virtualization, storage management, and networking technologies</li><li>Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning, including recovery testing and implementation</li><li>Familiarity with data security measures, including encryption, network segmentation, and firewall management</li><li>Fluency in both English and Greek</li></ul>Core competencies of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Detail-oriented and proactive problem-solver</li><li>Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities</li><li>Effective time management and multitasking skills</li><li>Clear and concise communication skills</li><li>Adaptability to evolving technology trends</li></ul>Benefits provided by the company:<ul><li>Competitive compensation package and bonus scheme</li><li>Health and life insurance</li><li>Pension plan program</li><li>Monthly Miles for coffee and snacks</li><li>Friendly and dynamic working environment</li></ul>
