Fourlis group, one of the leading Groups of companies in Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Romania in providing quality consumer goods, is currently looking to recruit:Compliance &amp; Internal Controls Manager&nbsp; (ref.: FG_CICM)Role Purpose: The Compliance &amp; Internal Controls Manager is responsible for ensuring the company’s adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, while developing and maintaining a robust internal control framework. The role supports corporate governance and transparency by identifying compliance risks, monitoring controls, and promoting a culture of integrity and accountability across the organization.The Position: Reporting to the Audit Committee and the Corporate Governance Director, you will be responsible and accountable for:<ul><li>Implementing the Group Corporate Governance framework</li><li>Implementing the Annual Compliance Plan</li><li>Reporting according to the company’s Compliance framework&nbsp;</li><li>Develop, implement, and monitor the company’s compliance policies and procedures</li><li>Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal requirements across all departments</li><li>Supporting the internal policies and procedures administration and approval process</li><li>Resolves issues / questions arising from colleagues / clients on GDPR</li><li>Works closely with outside agencies (insurance companies, attorneys) as required to ensure compliance with all local and national laws regarding GDPR</li><li>Monitoring changes to local data protection laws and making recommendations to all divisions when appropriate</li><li>Provide advice when an DPIA has been carried out and monitor its results</li><li>Reviewing vendor contracts and ensuring filing requirements with local regulators are achieved</li><li>Works closely with outside agencies (insurance companies, attorneys) as required to ensure compliance with all local and national laws regarding GDPR</li><li>Design, document, and maintain effective internal control systems for key financial and operational processes</li><li>Conduct regular control assessments and follow up on remediation plans where needed</li><li>Support management in identifying and mitigating compliance and control risks</li><li>Prepare compliance and internal control reports for senior management</li><li>Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings</li><li>Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance, ethics, and company policies</li><li>Collaborate with Finance, Legal, HR, and Operations to strengthen compliance culture and control efficiency.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Competencies required:<ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Audit, Business Administration, Finance, , Law, Risk Management or any other related field</li><li>Degree or related professional certifications will be considered an asset</li><li>Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Compliance, External / Internal Audit, Risk Management or any other field</li><li>Experience in Public Interest companies</li><li>Solid understanding of internal control frameworks and compliance best practices</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Excellent communication and organizational abilities</li><li>Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)</li><li>Fluency in English (both written and spoken).</li></ul>Preferred Skills:<ul><li>Experience in retail, fashion, or omnichannel commerce</li><li>Knowledge of microservices architecture and headless commerce</li><li>Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.</li></ul>Key Competencies:<ul><li>Integrity and professionalism</li><li>Attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Strategic and critical thinking</li><li>Strong interpersonal and influencing skills</li><li>Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities</li></ul>We offer:<ul><li>Competitive remuneration &amp; benefits package&nbsp;</li><li>Extensive continuous training&nbsp;</li><li>Career &amp; development prospects in Fourlis group</li></ul>
