The role also has overall responsibility for the operation and oversight of the physico‑chemical Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant.&nbsp;Responsibilities<ul><li>Responsible for the communication and implementation of company’s environmental policy and Management’s commitment on environmental issues as well as for the training of the Company's personnel in this specific field.</li><li>Ensure end‑to‑end compliance with environmental permits and applicable legislation; coordinate the implementation of recommendations from competent public authorities.</li><li>Establish internal regulations and procedures and implement a comprehensive waste management program, in close collaboration with department heads and engineers.</li><li>Set up, monitor, and evaluate environmental KPIs and monitoring programs; drive corrective and preventive actions and report results to Management and authorities.</li><li>Prepare and submit required environmental studies/permits and reports (e.g., Environmental Impact Assessment, GHG emissions permit, Waste Management Plan, E‑PRTR reporting).</li><li>Develop the Environmental Management System (EMS) and ensure its effective operation and certification.</li><li>Act as liaison with regulatory/inspection authorities (e.g., Ministry of Environment &amp; Energy, Region of Central Greece); accompany inspectors onsite and recommend procedural changes as needed.</li><li>Oversee the Wastewater Treatment Plant operation, ensuring compliance and approved discharge limits; organize sampling/analyses (pH, conductivity, BOD/COD, heavy metals) and maintain complete records (e.g., ΗΜΑ) for authorities and management.</li><li>Coordinate preventive maintenance and reliability of critical assets (balancing tanks, aeration/settling/filtration/RO systems), contingency plans, and handling of emergency wastewater (e.g., firefighting water).</li><li>Develop and manage the Environmental budget and oversee environmental suppliers/partners.</li></ul>&nbsp;Qualifications<ul><li>Degree in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a Polytechnic School</li><li>Postgraduate studies and specialization desirable</li><li>Work experience for at least 5 years in a similar position with compliance / system responsibility</li><li>Excellent knowledge of Environmental issues</li><li>Strong leadership, influencing, negotiation, change management, communication skills</li></ul>• Excellent knowledge of English• Knowledge of information systems&nbsp;Skills<ul><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong communication and leadership abilities to work cross-functionally.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise&nbsp;tasks effectively.</li></ul>&nbsp;BenefitsCompetitive remuneration package and a wide range of benefits
