Based in Metamorfosi, Attiki, Greece and reporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Controller will oversee financial planning and reporting, internal controls, and compliance and ensure the financial integrity of group companies.Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:<ul><li>Oversee the consolidation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting across the group’s entities</li><li>Ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP (as applicable), including the preparation of financial statements for listed and non-listed companies</li><li>Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&amp;A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario planning</li><li>Manage the audit cycle in coordination with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal consultants</li><li>Implement and monitor robust internal control frameworks, accounting policies, and financial risk management protocols.</li><li>Support the CFO in the preparation of Board materials, investor presentations, and capital market disclosures</li><li>Supervise the financial close process and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts across subsidiaries</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (treasury, investment, commercial) to support corporate finance initiatives and acquisitions</li><li>Maintain accounting system integrity and lead process improvement and automation initiatives</li><li>Review tax filings, transfer pricing arrangements, and international tax compliance in collaboration with third-party advisors</li><li>Lead and mentor a small team of in-house accountants and coordinate outsourced accounting support as needed</li><li>Any other tasks required from time to time</li></ul>Professional experience &amp; qualifications of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; MSc, MBA, or CPA/ACA/ACCA qualification preferred.</li><li>Minimum 7 years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or audit, preferably within a multinational or US-listed environment.</li><li>Familiarity with the shipping or asset-intensive industries is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP, consolidation principles, and financial governance.</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing audits and complex financial reporting processes.</li><li>ERP system fluency and strong proficiency in Excel; knowledge of consolidation or accounting software is a plus.</li><li>Fluent in English and ideally Greek, with strong analytical and communication skills</li></ul>Core competencies of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Accuracy-driven with strong organizational discipline</li><li>Proactive problem solver with a controls mindset</li><li>Reliable under pressure and deadline-oriented</li><li>Strong business acumen with attention to detail</li><li>Committed to continuous process improvement</li></ul>Apply now!Please send your CV in strict confidence at&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="mailto:candidates@intellecticagroup.com">candidates@intellecticagroup.com</a>&nbsp;by quoting reference int-0364 and connect your talent and ambitions to a world of opportunities.
