Responsibilities:<ul><li>Support SOX Compliance program to ensure that Company’s internal controls over financial reporting are effectively implemented. Main tasks of the program involve the evaluation of the existing controls’ effectiveness through testing procedures, identification and evaluation of audit findings and remediation follow-up. &nbsp;Assist in the preparation of SOX scoping, risk assessment and fraud risk assessment using quantitative and qualitative factors.</li><li>Participate in meetings with Company’s key personnel to gain understanding of Company’s processes and existing controls.</li><li>Assist in the preparation and provision of documentation related to process walkthroughs.</li><li>Assisting in execution of planned and ad-hoc internal audits projects through all phases of the audit (documentation review, fieldwork, recommendations and remediation follow-up).</li><li>Identify, document and communicate audit findings to the members of Internal Audit Department. Participate and assist in the preparation of presentations to the Company’s Audit Committee and Management.</li><li>Communicate with Company’s external auditors around SOX Compliance program, as well as any other Company’s independent auditor and/ or consultant.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:<ul><li>University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or relevant field.</li><li>Up to 4 years of experience in Big Four or in an internal audit / accounting/ finance department of a public shipping company.</li><li>Professional qualifications (e.g. CIA) and/ or postgraduate degree in accounting/ finance/ business administration related fields will be considered an asset.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and experience in internal audit, SOX will be considered an asset.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge in Accounting ERP systems (i.e. Navision) will be considered an asset.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially in Excel.</li><li>Fluency in English, both verbal and written.</li></ul>
