Based in Athens, Greece, and reporting to the CTO, the ideal candidate will lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of the company’s platform and serve as a key interface between engineering, product, and commercial stakeholders.Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:<ul><li>Aligning product development efforts with customer needs, market trends, and strategic business objectives</li><li>Driving the execution of the company’s platform roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and outcomes</li><li>Overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, from planning to production deployment</li><li>Managing scope, timeline, and resource trade-offs in coordination with engineering, product, and commercial teams</li><li>Coordinating cross-functional collaboration among technical, product, and business stakeholders</li><li>Enforcing best practices in software development, including documentation, version control, and traceability</li><li>Supervising product testing and release management to ensure smooth transitions to production environments</li><li>Identifying and resolving technical bottlenecks to maintain development velocity and quality</li><li>Maintaining a structured and transparent backlog for both technical and product development activities</li><li>Leading and coaching development teams, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement</li><li>Communicating progress, risks, and solutions to stakeholders through regular updates and proactive engagement</li></ul>&nbsp;Professional experience &amp; qualifications of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field</li><li>Experience in the energy sector is a strong plus</li><li>At least 5 years of experience managing software product development in a technical project management role</li><li>Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing platform or service development roadmaps</li><li>Solid understanding of modern software development methodologies and architectural frameworks</li><li>Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, Docker, and orchestration in distributed systems</li><li>Familiarity with deployment processes and DevOps best practices</li><li>Technical proficiency in tools such as Kafka, MQTT, Kubernetes, Node-RED, and modern databases</li><li>Fluent in both English and Greek</li></ul>Core competencies of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Strong leadership and project management skills</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management</li><li>Adaptability to evolving technology trends</li><li>Strategic and analytical thinking and decision-making ability</li><li>Innovation-focused and results-oriented</li><li>An engineering mindset above all</li></ul>
