We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our Finance team in Athens on a fixed-term basis to cover a maternity leave. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a global leader in payment services while gaining valuable experience in international financial operations.&nbsp;Day-to-Day Responsibilities​&nbsp;<ul><li>Ensures compliance with all Worldline group policies, procedures, and requirements</li><li>Completes monthly balance sheet reconciliations accurately and on time</li><li>Enforces internal control policies and procedures across financial operations</li><li>Oversees the timely preparation, review, and approval of monthly bank account and cash reconciliations</li><li>Ensures proper recording and classification of accounting events according to International Financial Reporting Standards and Tax Accounting</li><li>Oversees booking and payment processes</li><li>Prepares tax submissions including VAT, CIT, withholding tax, and other relevant filings</li><li>Collaborates with internal and external auditors during statutory and regulatory audit preparations</li><li>Prepares accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies</li></ul>&nbsp;Who Are We Looking For&nbsp;We look for big thinkers. General Ledger Accountant

Do you want to make an impact as a Retail Network Controlling Analyst by turning data into strategic decisions? Act as a key link between Retail, Operations, and Finance by delivering clear financial insights and reports. Support strategic decisions through business planning, KPI benchmarking, and identifying drivers that enhance retail network performance and sustainability.&nbsp;Your day to day will include:<ul><li>Collecting, validating, and reconciling data from multiple sources to produce accurate and insightful performance reports</li><li>Conducting advanced, ad-hoc, and recurring analyses on business operations, channels, and products to support strategic decisions</li><li>Applying performance and viability models to evaluate commercial initiatives, project revenue impact, and support business planning</li><li>Assessing retail network viability and financial sustainability, identifying risks, and supporting improvement actions (e.g. investments, financial support schemes)</li><li>Monitoring performance vs. targets, P&amp;L, cash flow, and ROI of commercial initiatives, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities</li><li>Supporting the design of commercial policies, incentive schemes, and segmentation strategies through data-driven analysis</li><li>Translating performance insights into actionable recommendations aligned with business goals and market dynamics</li></ul>&nbsp;What you need to succeed:&nbsp;<ul><li>BSc in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field. Financial Analyst (3713)
