You will handle all the corporate accounting transactions, accounting records, general ledger, reconciliations, fixed asset reports and intercompany billings for SMC according to the accounting rules and standards and company’s policies and procedures and informs all relevant parts for the financial transactions of SMC.&nbsp;Key Accountabilities: <ul><li>Executes all the accounting transactions of the assigned vessels, i.e., invoices, expenses, payments, payroll, etc., updates accordingly all the respective accounting ledgers, in order to assist in the effective monitoring of each vessel financial operation and compliance&nbsp;with the accounting rules and legislation.</li><li>Upon approval, proceeds to the prompt settlement of all accounts / payments of related vessels, so as to support the smooth operation of vessels.</li><li>Produces and upon approval submits periodical financial reports of the assigned vessels to ship owners and reviews vessels actual costs against&nbsp;budgets.</li><li>Issues the invoices for each client and upon approval from his/her supervisor submits them to clients, as well as monitor their timely payment, reporting any potential discrepancies from schedule.</li><li>Proceeds all the accounting entries and develops analytical monthly accounting reports according to the requirements and processes of BSM, in order to provide management with the requirement information.</li><li>Updates all the management accounting systems, in order to provide prompt and adequate information concerning costs and other financial/ accounting information, for purposes of control and evaluation of operations’ performance.</li><li>Keeps up to date with the changes and revisions in the Ship Management Agreements, crew wage scales and tariff of contracted agents, in order to support their compliance monitoring with the relevant billing and payment activities.</li><li>Assists in the execution of internal and external audits by timely gathering and providing all the required information and data as directed by supervisor, thus contributing towards their proper and accurate conduction, enhancing Company’s’ credibility and corporate image.</li></ul> RequirementsEducation and Working Experience:<ul><li>University degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent</li><li>3-6 years of relevant work experience, ideally in Ship Management</li></ul>Job Specific Skills:<ul><li>Knowledge of automated financial and experience of minimum 3 years in accounting reporting systems is a&nbsp;prerequisite.</li><li>Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.</li><li>Good analytical and conceptual thinking.</li><li>Attention to detail.</li><li>Good interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Knowledge of the local/regional maritime market conditions.</li><li>Very good people management skills.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li></ul> BenefitsWhy you should join us!&nbsp;&nbsp; <ul><li>Career development opportunities&nbsp;</li><li>Technical and soft skills training&nbsp;</li><li>Comprehensive health insurance coverage&nbsp;</li><li>Annual performance bonus&nbsp;</li><li>Gym/Entertainment benefits&nbsp;</li><li>Sustainability and wellness activities&nbsp;</li><li>Diverse workforce&nbsp;</li><li>Competitive compensation package&nbsp;</li><li>Flexible work opportunities</li></ul>
