Intellectica is recruiting an ambitious Presales &amp; Proposal Engineer on behalf of its client, a long-established engineering company operating in the high efficiency energy sector. With a strong heritage and exclusive collaborations with leading European manufacturers, the company designs, supplies, and supports advanced Combined Heat &amp; Power (CHP) systems and integrated energy solutions. Its portfolio includes comprehensive engineering services, turnkey project delivery, and robust after sales support. Based in Athens, Greece and reporting directly to the Technical Director, the Presales &amp; Proposal Engineer will play a pivotal role in the development of technical commercial proposals and will collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and sales teams.&nbsp;Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:&nbsp;<ul><li>Leading the preparation of complete technical and financial proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and engineering performance standards</li><li>Analyzing client specifications, energy profiles, and site constraints to define optimal CHP system configurations</li><li>Conducting preliminary engineering studies, including energy balances, performance simulations, techno-economic assessments, and equipment sizing</li><li>Designing CHP system layouts and defining auxiliary systems (heat recovery, cooling systems, electrical integration, Balance of Plant)</li><li>Preparing high-quality technical documentation for proposals, including technical descriptions, layouts, and single-line diagrams</li><li>Coordinating with suppliers to obtain quotations, clarify technical specifications, and evaluate equipment options</li><li>Identifying and assessing new suppliers and technology partners to strengthen solution competitiveness</li><li>Developing CAPEX and OPEX estimates reflecting full lifecycle project costs</li><li>Supporting the Sales team in client meetings and presentations by providing technical expertise and solution insights</li><li>Collaborating closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Management teams to ensure smooth project handover</li><li>Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and developments in the CHP and distributed energy sector</li><li>Undertaking any additional responsibilities as required</li></ul>&nbsp;Professional experience &amp; qualifications of a successful candidate:&nbsp;<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ideally), Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field</li><li>3–5 years of experience in presales, proposals, or technical‑commercial engineering roles, preferably within energy or electromechanical projects</li><li>Previous involvement in CHP projects or energy‑generation systems is considered a strong advantage</li><li>Genuine enthusiasm for thermodynamics and energy systems</li><li>Proven capability in performing equipment sizing, energy calculations, and preliminary engineering studies</li><li>Strong familiarity with technical specifications, engineering documentation, and contractual requirements</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD</li><li>Excellent command of MS Office especially Excel and Word</li><li>Fluent in English and Greek, including technical terminology</li></ul>&nbsp;Core competencies of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Strong analytical thinking</li><li>Ability to consolidate technical and commercial information</li><li>Team‑oriented mindset and effective cross‑department collaboration</li><li>Ability to prioritize and manage multiple proposals efficiently</li><li>Clear and confident technical communication</li><li>High attention to detail</li><li>Willingness to travel when required</li></ul>&nbsp;

Presales & Proposal Engineer

We are looking for a Technical Superintendent to join our Marine &amp; Technical department. In this role, you will ensure that owned ships are managed with the highest quality of standards and their condition is always kept at the top levels, following global quality standards and best marine practices at all times. Other responsibilities include managing side projects related but not limited to dry docks, retrofit and other technical project end to end for the appointed vessels.Key responsibilities<ul><li>Manage and monitor the performance of appointed third-party Technical Managers for the owned fleet, including daily operational follow-up and financial performance reporting.</li><li>Oversee vessel technical matters in coordination with Technical Managers, including procurement and supply monitoring and quality assurance of services, maintaining a cost-conscious approach without compromising on standards.</li><li>Provide technical expertise and support across newbuilding programmes and existing fleet technology development, spanning all relevant shipping business types.</li><li>Analyse and document ongoing technical issues and concerns across Trafigura assets, ensuring lessons learned are captured and applied to future projects</li><li>Conduct OPEX analysis and benchmarking; lead timely dry-dock planning and manage fleet retrofit projects, including ESD, EGCS, and BWTS installations.
