Lighting Application Engineer

We are currently looking for a&nbsp;Senior Procurement Engineer (Steel Structures &amp; Building Equipment)&nbsp; to join our  Procurement team as part of the Thermal Power &amp; HVDC division of Metlen &nbsp;in our offices in Paiania.&nbsp;Your role will encompass:&nbsp;<ul><li>Lead and implement procurement strategies for metal and steel construction packages, equipment, and components in large, EPC‑driven energy projects.</li><li>Work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Construction, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to align procurement plans with project schedules, budgets, and technical requirements.</li><li>Perform market analysis and supplier scouting to identify qualified vendors with proven capability in metal constructions.</li><li>Manage the supplier prequalification, evaluation, and selection process, assessing cost, quality, delivery capability, technical compliance, and risk.</li><li>Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, delivery terms, contractual conditions, and risk mitigation strategies.</li><li>Issue RFQs / RFPs, evaluate technical and commercial bids, and prepare award recommendations.</li><li>Develop, maintain, and strengthen long‑term strategic supplier relationships, ensuring performance and continuous improvement.</li><li>Ensure full compliance with company procurement policies, contractual frameworks, and ethical standards.</li></ul>What you bring to the role:&nbsp;<ul><li>5+ years of experience in procurement of steel and metal constructions (fabrication, assemblies, structural steel, etc.), ideally within EPC, energy, heavy industry, or infrastructure sectors.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.</li><li>Familiarity with TEKLA or similar metal construction / detailing software will be considered a strong asset.</li><li>Solid knowledge of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.</li></ul>Share the same Value Based Behaviors:<ul><li>People &amp; Personal growth</li><li>Results orientation &amp; Safety excellence</li><li>Collaboration &amp; Trust</li><li>Empathy &amp; Effective communication</li><li>Flexibility &amp; Adaptability</li></ul>&nbsp;Your Benefits:<ul><li>Competitive remuneration package</li><li>Ticket Restaurant Card</li><li>Group Health Insurance Plan</li><li>Preferential household electricity plan</li><li>Pension Plan</li></ul>
