We are seeking a talented Metrology Engineering Intern who will support the metrology activities in our team in Athens.Τι θα κάνετε<ul><li>Assist in measuring mechanical parts and assemblies using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, CMM, OMM and Optical Scanner.</li><li>Support dimensional and visual inspections of components against engineering drawings and GD&amp;T standards requirements.</li><li>Design and implementation of jigs and fixtures for new product introductions.</li><li>Record, organize, and report measurement and inspection data accurately.</li><li>Help prepare inspection reports, first article inspections, and nonconformance documentation.</li><li>Assist with setup, operation, and basic maintenance of metrology equipment and fixtures.</li><li>Support gauge and equipment calibration tracking and verification activities.</li><li>Work with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to investigate dimensional issues and improve inspection methods.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized metrology or inspection area.</li><li>Maintain documentation of measurement results according to Tesla standards</li></ul>Τι θα έχετε μαζί σας<ul><li>Currently enrolled in a degree for Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.</li><li>A basic understanding of GD&amp;T (ASME Y14.5 standards) and the ability to read technical drawings.</li><li>Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) or metrology software (PC-DMIS, Calypso) is a significant plus.</li><li>Familiarity with standard measurement tools and inspection techniques.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>English fluently in speaking, reading and writing.</li></ul>

Metrology Technician Internship

Tesla is advancing humanoid robots for large-scale automation of repetitive tasks, introducing cutting-edge actuator technology to enable robust &amp; efficient operation of the bot. Therefore, it is crucial that the powertrain and its core components, like the motor, are modeled accurately and designed according to strictly defined specs. As an intern of the motor design team, located in Athens, Greece, you will help design, simulate &amp; improve the modeling of next gen bot actuators to drive innovative robotics solutions.Τι θα κάνετε<ul><li>Responsible for designing electric motors for humanoid robot actuators.</li><li>Process big data, select the most compelling actuator candidates and visualize the results.</li><li>Responsible for motor modeling accuracy for Tesla Bot actuators, ensuring alignment with experimental data.</li><li>Responsible for developing advanced Matlab functions to model motor and powertrain performance.</li><li>Develop new and enhance existing motor system optimization functions based on multiple criteria.</li></ul>Τι θα έχετε μαζί σας<ul><li>Ongoing Engineering studies (preferably at last year of studies).</li><li>Fluency in English.</li><li>Strong mathematical and physics background.</li><li>Strong Matlab programming skills.</li><li>Very good understanding of electromagnetics and electric circuits.</li><li>Experience analyzing electric motors using Finite Element Method</li></ul>The following will be considered a plus:<ul><li>Good understanding of thermal and mechanical modeling.</li><li>Experience in data science &amp; big data analysis.</li><li>Understanding of optimization fundamentals.</li><li>Understanding of electrical measurements</li></ul>
