&nbsp;Intellectica is recruiting an EHS Engineer on behalf of its client, a global leader in construction chemicals with a long-standing presence in Greece and strong growth momentum. The company operates with high safety standards, advanced supply chain processes and a commitment to operational excellence. The role is responsible for supporting workplace health and safety and environmental protection, contributing to the prevention of occupational and environmental risks, and ensuring smooth alignment with production, logistics, and commercial operations across the organization. Based in Attiki, the role reports directly to the EHS-QA Manager.&nbsp;Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:&nbsp;<ul><li>Support the effective implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices across all operations, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and internal policies</li><li>Ensure ongoing compliance with safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and company HSE standards</li><li>Conduct regular workplace inspections and safety audits across production, chemical storage, and logistics areas to identify hazards and non-compliance risks</li><li>Proactively identify unsafe conditions and behaviors, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and monitor their effective implementation</li><li>Contribute to the preparation, review, and update of Written Occupational Risk Assessments (WORA) and Environmental Aspects identification</li><li>Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems, including participation in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)</li><li>Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and logs, ensuring audit readiness and full traceability</li><li>Prepare and update HSE documentation, including risk assessments, SOPs, work instructions, and safety guidelines</li><li>Supervise the proper use, adequacy, and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and environmental protection measures</li><li>Deliver engaging and practical safety training sessions, ensuring understanding across all employee groups</li><li>Translate technical safety requirements into clear, actionable guidance for operational teams</li><li>Communicate effectively with management, employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors on all HSE-related matters</li><li>Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, R&amp;D, and Logistics to embed safety into day-to-day operations</li><li>Proactively assess risks, anticipate potential hazards, and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety performance</li><li>Develop practical and cost-effective solutions to HSE challenges</li><li>Prioritize safety-critical activities, manage multiple tasks effectively, and make sound decisions under time pressure</li><li>Any other task that may be required from time to time</li></ul>&nbsp;Professional experience &amp; qualifications of a successful candidate:&nbsp;<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or a related field</li><li>2+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial production environments</li><li>Certified/licensed Safety Technician, in accordance with national legislation</li><li>Solid knowledge of HSE legislation, including occupational safety, chemical handling, and PPE requirements</li><li>Strong understanding of industrial safety practices, including LOTO, ATEX, and machine guarding</li><li>Familiarity with industrial chemical safety standards and practices</li><li>Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems</li><li>Proven ability to conduct risk assessments (hazard identification, evaluation, and mitigation)</li><li>Experience in incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone)</li><li>Basic knowledge of emergency response procedures (evacuations, chemical spills, first aid)</li><li>Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics)</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>Fluency in Greek and good command of English</li></ul>&nbsp;Core competencies of a successful candidate:&nbsp;<ul><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy</li><li>Ability to influence and promote safe behaviors across all levels of the organization</li><li>High level of professionalism and integrity in enforcing safety standards</li><li>Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and R&amp;D teams</li></ul>
