You will collaborate closely with the&nbsp;accounting team and senior management&nbsp;to establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and controls.&nbsp;Reporting to: Financial Controller&nbsp;Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Supervise, organize, and monitor daily activities of the accounting department, including processes tailored to group companies both domestically and internationally</li><li>Ensure accuracy and timely completion of accounting entries, complying with Greek Accounting Standards as well as international accounting standards where applicable</li><li>Monitor and manage tax compliance, including VAT-INTRASTAT-VIES, ΦΜΥ, and withheld taxes, for both domestic and international transactions</li><li>Oversee proper documentation and registration of transaction documents and invoices, adhering to local and international requirements</li><li>Verify monthly balances and supervise commercial-accounting and warehouse agreements processes across group entities</li><li>Manage month-end and year-end closing processes for both domestic and international operations</li><li>Participate in and oversee the preparation of annual financial statements, including consolidated statements for group entities, ensuring compliance with local and international reporting standards</li><li>Collaborate with auditors and other external stakeholders on tax and accounting matters, assisting in the preparation of audit schedules and financial statements for both domestic and international entities</li><li>Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, taking into account the diverse operational landscape of group companies</li><li>Possess knowledge of corporate legal matters relevant to group structures, including establishment processes and amendments for statutory entities both domestically and internationally</li><li>Provide training and guidance to accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team</li><li>Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance across all group entities</li><li>Process Reporting packages under various GAAPs (Greek, European, IFRS)</li></ul>&nbsp;Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field</li><li>Master's degree or ACCA/CIMA certifications are desirable</li><li>A’ class accountant license and excellent knowledge of legal entities taxation (income tax, benefits in kind, withholding taxes, VAT, stamp duties, real estate) and accounting standards is mandatory</li><li>Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar role, with at least 5 years' experience in a large company (100+ employees) with multinational operations</li><li>Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, tax laws, and fiscal practices in both Greece and internationally</li><li>Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, preferably including experience with international accounting standards and consolidation</li><li>Excellent proficiency in MS Office tools</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Advanced proficiency in both Greek and English, both written and verbal</li><li>Demonstrated leadership and communication skills</li><li>Ability to thrive in a team environment, with a positive attitude, results orientation, and a proactive approach to solutions</li><li>High ethical standards, integrity, flexibility, and adaptability</li></ul>&nbsp;Benefits<ul><li>Competitive annual base salary</li><li>Company car and travel expenses (fuel, e-pass) for both domestic and international travel as required</li><li>Professional development opportunities within a large commercial company with a prominent international presence</li><li>Excellent work environment, valuing work ethic and drive</li><li>Continuous education and training opportunities</li></ul>
