Tesla is seeking an Intern Electrical Engineer at the last year of their MSc studies (preferably at the conclusion thesis), modeling and measuring electric motor problems with focus on actuators. This person will be working as part of the Tesla motor technology team located in Athens, Greece, towards improving motor modeling accuracy, developing test plans and performing measurements in the dyno lab.Τι θα κάνετε<ul><li>Develop new and enhance existing motor characterization dyno tests to derive motor equivalent model parameters, loss maps to train the model</li><li>Perform dyno characterization tests to evaluate the impact of new materials in motor/system performance and efficiency.</li><li>Write experiment sequence code.</li><li>Write simulation code for testing modeling functions in an isolated way for comparison with experimental results</li><li>Archive experimental results to respective databases</li></ul>Τι θα έχετε μαζί σας<ul><li>Fluency in English</li><li>Studies in Electrical Engineering</li><li>Strong mathematical and physics background</li><li>Excellent knowledge of electrical machines theory</li><li>Matlab programming</li><li>Experience in conducting electric/thermal/mechanical/acoustic measurements with high accuracy equipment (power analyzer, oscilloscope etc.)</li><li>Experience with dynamometer layout and Veristand</li></ul>&nbsp;The following will be considered as plus:<ul><li>Experience in advanced electromagnetics modeling</li><li>Experience running a laboratory or motor test rig</li><li>Experience realizing power electronic boards&nbsp;</li></ul>

Electrical Engineering Internship - Dynamometer Testing

As an intern, you'll play a key role in optimizing a scalable Python-based framework that organizes and holds all the data related to robot modeling and description. You’ll work with multiple teams to ensure the system supports various output structures and formats, helping automate and streamline processes across the organization. This internship will offer hands-on experience with Python code architecture, data modeling, and building essential tools for robot simulation and actuator/linkage design.We’re looking for motivated, self-starting interns who are eager to learn, solve complex problems, and contribute to a real-world software engineering project.&nbsp;Τι θα κάνετε<ul><li>Optimize and extend a Python-based framework that organizes robot data and descriptions.</li><li>Develop tools to support actuator design, and linkage modeling using MATLAB (and MATLAB App Designer framework)</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of the framework and automation of key processes</li><li>Contribute to writing clean, maintainable code, and documenting software designs.</li><li>Support testing and debugging of the system to ensure reliability.</li></ul>Τι θα έχετε μαζί σας<ul><li>Active studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (must remain an active student throughout the internship)</li><li>Strong interest in software architecture, and data modeling, and Python programming (experience in MATLAB is a plus)</li><li>Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software development best practices.</li><li>Some familiarity with robotics concepts or simulation tools is a plus.</li><li>Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.</li><li>Fluent in English with strong communication skills</li></ul>
