Trainee/Junior Lawyer – Intangibles, Data &amp; Technology (IDT) Practice Group Experience the future of law, today! We are currently seeking to recruit a Trainee/Junior Lawyer, who will join our Intangibles, Data &amp; Technology - IDT practice group. JOB DESCRIPTION You will join our IDT team, one of the largest highly specialized Intangibles, Data &amp; Technology teams, dealing with a diversified client portfolio, across industries and borders. We aim to deliver practical, business-oriented solutions that help transform the way our clients operate, enabling innovation and growth through the use of new technologies, while maintaining legal and regulatory compliance. Our IDT practice covers a wide variety of subject matters including data protection, cybersecurity, cyber-resilience, new technologies (including AI), intellectual property, legal function transformation and contract management automation, telecommunications and media, as well as other types of regulatory compliance e.g. Whistleblowing schemes. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Your role as a Trainee/Junior Lawyer will focus on the delivery of client engagements, exercising effective communication and relationship-building skills, as well as contributing to the priorities of the team. In this role, you will commit to personal learning and development and explore opportunities to make an impact by delivering exceptional legal services. During your tenure, you will demonstrate and develop the ability to: <ul><li>Provide legal, practical solutions to complex legal issues while delivering a high-quality output, making an impact for our clients and creating trusted relationships;</li><li>Provide legal advice relating to:<ul><li>supporting the role of external Data Protection Officer, carrying out data protection tasks, such as handling data subject requests, assisting in personal data breaches, consulting on data protection impact assessments, delivering advice on legal and regulatory requirements on data protection matters and helping deliver privacy trainings to employees;</li><li>assisting in privacy management operational activities, such as conducting data mapping exercises, drafting or reviewing privacy notices, privacy policies and procedures;</li><li>Draft, review and support in negotiations of commercial agreements on all data protection, cybersecurity and cyber-resilience matters;</li><li>cooperate with cross-functional teams to conduct M&amp;A due diligence on data protection, cybersecurity, intellectual property and other legal and regulatory compliance matters.</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>Conduct legal research and analysis on data protection, cybersecurity, intellectual property and artificial intelligence.</li></ul> OUR REQUIREMENTS Our ideal candidate is a bright and ambitious young lawyer/trainee lawyer that focuses on delivering work of high quality, commits to a high level of client service, and has the ability to build strong client relationships. We expect that you have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to work effectively within a team of peers and of more senior team members, have a meticulous attention to detail and deliver practical, business-oriented legal solutions.
