UNIC Athens, the University of Nicosia's academic and research base in Greece, combining internationally ranked teaching with state-of-the-art facilities, is inviting applications from individuals interested in full-time faculty appointments at its School of Life and Health Sciences for the following fields to support the MPharm programme:<ul><li>Pharmaceutical Analysis &amp; Quality Control (Assistant Professor)</li><li>Medicinal Chemistry (Assistant Professor)</li><li>Pharmacology/Clinical Pharmacology (Assistant Professor)</li><li>Molecular Pharmacology (Professor or Associate Professor)</li><li>Pharmacognosy (Assistant Professor)</li></ul>Successful candidates will contribute to teaching, research, and service in this area, supporting the development of future pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists.&nbsp;Key Duties &amp; Responsibilities:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Teaching and Learning&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The successful candidate will:<ul><li>Design and deliver lectures, laboratory sessions and</li><li>Develop laboratory classes that train students in practical skills,</li><li>Participate in OSCEs and other competence-based assessments, where appropriate.</li><li>Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the pharmacy curriculum.</li><li>Supervise undergraduate research projects and, over time, MSc/PhD students in relevant areas.</li></ul>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Research and Innovation<ul><li>Support the University’s priority research goals focusing on AI-driven, personalised, and longevity-oriented healthcare and participate in cross-disciplinary collaborations that integrate pharmaceutical sciences with AI, data analytics, and healthcare innovation.</li><li>Seek national and international funding (e.g. Horizon Europe, national agencies, industrial contracts).</li><li>Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present research at scientific conferences.</li></ul>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Service &amp; Academic Leadership<ul><li>Engage with industry, regulatory bodies and professional organisations to foster partnerships, placements and collaborative projects.</li><li>Contribute to quality assurance, accreditation processes and academic administration of the programme.</li><li>Contribute to module coordination, curriculum design and programme evaluation.</li><li>Participate in relevant School and University committees.</li><li>Support student advising, mentoring and outreach activities at UNIC</li></ul>&nbsp;Qualifications:<ul><li>All candidates must hold a PhD in their respective field</li><li>Evidence of high-level teaching and scholarly work</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in the respective field, evidenced by οriginal publications in international refereed journals, books and conference proceedings.</li><li>First degree in Pharmacy or a related discipline is highly desirable</li><li>Evidence of research activity, including participation in projects, grants or industry collaborations.</li></ul>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Personal Attributes<ul><li>Strong commitment to student-centred learning and competence-based education.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary and international team.</li><li>Ability to teach in Greek and in English.</li><li>Motivation to contribute to the growth phase of UNIC Athens.</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>For the Senior Faculty (Professor or Associate Professor) position in Molecular Pharmacology, candidates must demonstrate at least seven years of autonomous higher education teaching experience and/or research activity following award of the doctorate; for all other positions, a minimum of three years of such experience is required.</li></ul>Application Procedure:Interested candidates should submit the following documents:<ol type="1"><li>Cover letter outlining their motivation and fit with the position (including teaching and research vision in pharmaceutical analysis &amp; quality control).
