The key responsibilities of this role will include:<ul><li>Lead and contribute to a broad range of insurance advisory engagements, covering regulatory compliance, strategic initiatives, and business transformation projects across the insurance value chain</li><li>Apply actuarial principles and methodologies to design and implement tailored business solutions aligned with clients’ strategic objectives</li><li>Manage insurance-related projects end-to-end, including planning, execution, review, and completion, while ensuring timely and high-quality delivery</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders through frequent interaction and effective communication</li><li>Prepare and deliver high-quality client presentations, reports, and technical documentation</li><li>Collaborate closely with professionals across different teams and disciplines, both internally and externally, to deliver integrated and holistic solutions</li><li>Uphold the highest standards of professional conduct, integrity, and business ethics</li><li>Stay up to date with emerging trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in the insurance and financial services sectors</li></ul>To be successful at this role you need the following (hard and soft skills):<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree&nbsp;in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or another quantitative discipline; a&nbsp;Master’s degree&nbsp;will be considered an asset</li><li>3+ years of professional experience&nbsp;in actuarial or insurance advisory roles, ideally within a consulting firm or insurance organization, with increasing responsibility in client-facing projects</li><li>Progress towards actuarial qualification with the&nbsp;Hellenic Actuarial Society&nbsp;or another internationally recognized actuarial body; qualified actuaries are strongly encouraged to apply</li><li>Proven experience in one or more of the following areas:<ul><li>Reserving under&nbsp;Solvency II&nbsp;and current accounting standards</li><li>Capital Management</li><li>Asset-Liability Management (ALM)</li></ul></li><li>Solid understanding of insurance principles, actuarial techniques, and regulatory frameworks (e.g. Solvency II, IFRS17). Prior experience on IFRS17 will be considered a strong asset</li><li>Strong technical skills, including proficiency in actuarial modelling software and tools (e.g.&nbsp;Prophet, Moses, ReMetrica, R, Python, SQL, Power BI or similar tools)</li><li>Strong analytical and data skills, including experience with large datasets and advanced modelling techniques (descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics)</li><li>Experience in life or non‑life actuarial work is an advantage</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, client-focused insights</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with strong attention to detail</li><li>Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality services and practical solutions in a consulting environment</li><li>Strong work ethic, sense of ownership, and commitment to professional excellence</li><li>High motivation for continuous learning, career progression, and professional development</li></ul>What’s in it for You?At Grant Thornton Greece, we believe that great work deserves great rewards!
