Το Ελληνικό Παιδικό Μουσείο (E.Π.Μ.) ανέπτυξε το θεσμό των εθελοντών από την ίδρυσή του, το 1987, και από τότε μέχρι και σήμερα αποτελούν αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της λειτουργίας του.Οι εθελοντές είναι πολύτιμοι για το Μουσείο, φέρνουν νέες ιδέες, ενθουσιασμό, γνώση, ειδικότητα, επαγγελματισμό και προσωπική αφοσίωση.Μέσα από τη συνεχή εκπαίδευση και τη συμμετοχή τους σε συναντήσεις και ομάδες εργασίας, οι εθελοντές χρησιμοποιούν και αναπτύσσουν όλο τους το δυναμικό, υποστηρίζοντας όλα τα τμήματα και τις λειτουργίες του Μουσείου.Η διεπιστημονικότητα του χώρου προσφέρει, ένα περιβάλλον όπου μπορούν να εξελίξουν τις ικανότητές τους και να αποκτήσουν επαγγελματική προϋπηρεσία.Το 2005 το εθελοντικό πρόγραμμα του Μουσείου βραβεύτηκε με τιμητική διάκριση από την ΕΟΣΦΙΜ&nbsp;(Ελληνική Ομοσπονδία Σωματείων Φίλων των Μουσείων).Τομείς απασχόλησης:Εθελοντής στο Ε.Π.Μ. μπορεί να γίνει ο καθένας (παιδιά, φοιτητές, γονείς, εργαζόμενοι, άνεργοι, συνταξιούχοι, ΑΜΕΑ).Το αντικείμενο της εργασίας του κάθε εθελοντή καθορίζεται με βάση τις επιθυμίες και τις δυνατότητες του αλλά πάντα σε σχέση με τις ανάγκες του Μουσείου.Πιο συγκεκριμένα κάθε εθελοντής μπορεί να δραστηριοποιηθεί :–&nbsp;στον εκθεσιακό χώρο–&nbsp;στα εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα–&nbsp;στις συλλογές–&nbsp;στο κέντρο έρευνας και τεκμηρίωσης–&nbsp;στο δωρητήριο–&nbsp;στο υλικοπωλείο–&nbsp;στη γραμματεία–&nbsp;στην υποδοχή–&nbsp;στην τεχνική υποστήριξη–&nbsp;στην ανάπτυξη–&nbsp;στην επικοινωνία Αναγνώριση εθελοντικής προσφοράςΜε τη συμπλήρωση 250 ωρών εθελοντικής εργασίας χορηγείται βεβαίωση, ενώ παράλληλα υπάρχουν εκπτώσεις σε σεμινάρια του Μουσείου μας και δίνονται πολλές ακόμα&nbsp;ευκαιρίες.
