Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented People Operations Specialist Greece (Maternity Cover / Fixed-Term Contract) to join our People Operations team.In this role, you will provide essential HR administrative and foundational HR advisory support to ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations for our Greek entity.You will be responsible for managing core employee lifecycle administration, localized benefits tracking, internal system updates, and compliance tasks.This position is ideal for an organized HR professional with a strong administrative foundation who excels at balancing local regulatory requirements (such as ERGANI) with dynamic vendor and stakeholder management.What You'll Do (Responsibilities)In this role, you will:<ul><li>Core HR Operations &amp; Lifecycle Management: Monitor and handle all employee lifecycle stages, including onboarding agency hires (via SNOW and Ergani), processing regular terminations, and maintaining accurate digital and physical employee files.</li><li>Local Compliance &amp; ERGANI Reporting: Manage monthly teleworking declarations, prepare monthly annual leave reports for ERGANI compliance via our payroll partner, and act as a key contact for authority inspections, audits, and requests (e.g., Labor Inspection).</li><li>First-Line Advisory Support: Provide policy guidance and foundational support to people leaders regarding routine matters such as absence management, exits, and conduct issues, while collaborating with external legal counsel on highly critical or sensitive cases.</li><li>Local Benefits &amp; Vendor Administration: Oversee local employee perks and benefits programs, including calculating quarterly Ticket Cards (Edenred), tracking monthly fuel card allocations (Spendeo/EKO), managing toll and telecommunication device requests, and coordinating Groupama health insurance enrollments.</li><li>Payroll &amp; System Data Migration: Prepare and submit payroll cut-off details (including annual leave reports) to the payroll team, manage local profiles within the M-Files system, and actively support upcoming payroll transition and data migration activities.</li><li>Health, Safety &amp; Procurement Support: Serve as the primary local contact for our Health &amp; Safety partner (GEP), coordinate mandatory occupational doctor/technician visits, and review invoices or open Purchase Orders (POs) within Oracle.</li></ul>What You'll Bring (Skills &amp; Qualifications)The ideal candidate will have:<ul><li>Experience: Foundational experience working in a localized HR operations, HR administration, or HR generalist capacity within multinational company based in Greece.</li><li>Regulatory &amp; Systems Knowledge: Prior experience navigating the ERGANI platform, local Greek labor law compliance, and managing data tracking workflows. Reporting to the Senior Manager P&amp;C, the HRBP Commercial role plays a key role in shaping and executing the People &amp; Culture strategy across the Commercial organization in Greece. This role will channel forward all P&amp;C processes to ensure that our employee life cycle fosters a culture of innovation, continuous growth and inclusion.&nbsp;Key Accountabilities<ul><li>Partner closely with business leaders to embed and reinforce company culture, values, and leadership behaviors, ensuring alignment between people practices and business strategy.</li><li>Drive and support the execution of talent retention, development, and succession initiatives, ensuring a strong and diverse talent pipeline aligned with current and future business needs.</li><li>Contribute to and lead local talent and engagement initiatives that enhance employee experience, capability building, and sustainable growth across the organization.</li><li>Leverage P&amp;C metrics, people data, and analytics to provide actionable insights and recommendations across all employee lifecycle touchpoints, supporting informed decision‑making and continuous improvement.</li><li>Actively drive talent injection initiatives and champion global P&amp;C programs locally, translating them into tangible business value and measurable people outcomes.</li><li>Ensure full compliance with labor laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies, proactively identifying risks and advising the business on people‑related compliance matters.</li><li>Drive fair, consistent, and transparent application of company and local policies, monitoring implementation effectiveness and providing insights to support policy evolution and alignment.</li><li>Collaborate effectively with all P&amp;C Centres of Expertise to design and deliver integrated, tailored people solutions that address specific business challenges and priorities.</li><li>Utilize digital and AI‑enabled tools to enhance P&amp;C service delivery, improve decision‑making, and increase overall business impact, fostering a more data‑driven and future‑ready P&amp;C function. </li></ul>Who we’re looking for<ul><li>University degree in Business Administration or a related field.</li><li>Postgraduate degree in Human Resources will be considered an asset.</li><li>8+ years of progressive experience in People &amp; Culture, ideally in a Generalist role.</li><li>Strong knowledge of core P&amp;C practices and frameworks.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.</li><li>Strong analytical mindset and a high level of client service orientation.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.</li><li>Fluency in both Greek and English.</li><li>Experience working in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.</li><li>Strong project management and organizational skills.</li><li>Military obligations completed (if applicable)</li></ul>&nbsp;What we offerOur success depends on our talented employees who come to work here every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
