The American College of Greece seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join the Study Abroad Office as a Study Abroad Specialist. The successful candidate will support the College’s strategic initiatives to increase outbound study abroad participation by providing advising, managing administrative processes, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the smooth operation of study abroad programs.Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide comprehensive information and guidance to students regarding study abroad opportunities, including program options, eligibility requirements, deadlines, and procedures.</li><li>Assist students with applications and required documentation.</li><li>Support pre-departure and re-entry orientations.</li><li>Respond to student inquiries via email, phone, and in-person appointments.</li><li>Maintain accurate records, applications, and databases related to outbound study abroad participation.</li><li>Conduct follow-ups with prospective and participating students.</li><li>Assist in planning and coordinating information sessions and outreach events.</li><li>Promote study abroad opportunities across the campus community.</li><li>Maintain effective communication and collaboration with students and ACG offices.</li><li>Manage and update Study Abroad Office social media accounts.</li><li>Assist with orientation activities, excursions, and program-related events.</li><li>Perform additional duties as needed to support the effective operation of study abroad programs.</li></ul>Required Knowledge:<ul><li>Knowledge of the North American higher education systems, particularly in recruitment cycles and admissions processes for study abroad students.</li><li>Understanding of prospective undergraduate students’ needs.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required (degree in Education or a related field preferred).</li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience in higher education, preferably in a study abroad or international education setting.</li><li>Experience as a participant, organizer, or administrator in study abroad programs is preferred.</li><li>Fluency in English and Greek.</li><li>Background in international education or higher education administration is considered an asset.</li></ul>Required Skills:<ul><li>Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with student information and outreach systems.</li><li>Excellent time management and prioritization skills.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, organizational and multitasking skills.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-oriented approach.</li><li>Ability to build effective working relationships with diverse populations.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.</li><li>Cultural sensitivity and strong cross-cultural communication skills.</li></ul>Other Requirements:<ul><li>Flexibility in working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, when required.</li></ul>

Study Abroad Specialist

Deree – The American College of Greece is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Faculty Assistant. The Faculty Assistant reports to the School Deans and provides administrative and operational support to Faculty Administrators (Department Heads, Program and Area Coordinators) and the respective Dean’s Office, ensuring the smooth daily operation of academic departments, programs, and areas within the undergraduate schools.Main Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide administrative support to Faculty Administrators and the Dean’s Office</li><li>Assist with matters related to faculty needs to ensure proper course operation according to college requirements</li><li>Provide administrative support for departmental and school committees</li><li>Support communication with internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Assist departments/programs with validation-related matters and events</li><li>Assist with the collection and organization of departmental information</li><li>Support the organization of departmental events, student registration processes, and graduation-related activities</li><li>Liaise with Technical Services and IRM to arrange equipment and technological support</li><li>Update department/program websites and social media content as needed</li><li>Perform any other duty as assigned by the supervisor</li></ul>Exam Office Support Responsibilities:<ul><li>Follow and implement established exam invigilation procedures and instructions</li><li>Photocopy and scan examination papers while maintaining a detailed record of all materials</li><li>Ensure the secure storage of examination papers in locked cabinets within the Exam Office</li><li>Collect and submit student scripts to the Exam Office for secure storage until the Board of Examiners meetings</li><li>Support preparation processes related to the Board of Examiners meetings</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required</li><li>Related administrative experience is highly desirable</li><li>Excellent command of the English language (oral and written)</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li></ul>Required Skills and Competencies:<ul><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Accuracy and attention to detail in completing tasks in a timely manner</li><li>Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment</li><li>General knowledge of university curricula, academic policies, and procedures is desirable</li><li>Ability to handle confidential information with discretion</li></ul>
