The Frances Rich School of Fine and Performing Arts at Deree – The American College of Greece is seeking a Part-Time Instructor to teach Graphic Design courses within the Arts and Creative Industries Department.Required Qualifications:Education:<ul><li>Master’s degree (or higher) in UX/UI Design, Digital Arts/Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience (preferably in Graphic Design/Visual Communication Design).</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Professional experience in Visual Communication Design / Graphic Design.</li><li>Teaching experience in undergraduate and/or graduate programs, preferably at an English-speaking institution.</li><li>At least one degree from a US or UK institution.</li><li>Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in design and digital tools.</li></ul>Knowledge:The ideal candidate should have expertise in one or more of the following areas:<ul><li>Usability &amp; UX Design</li><li>Web &amp; App Design</li><li>Digital Tools for UI Design</li><li>Critical and Creative Thinking in Problem-Solving</li><li>Fundamentals of Visual Systems &amp; UI Design</li><li>Designing Physical and Digital Experiences</li><li>Participatory &amp; Co-Design</li><li>Futures Design, Strategy &amp; Innovation</li><li>Code for Designers</li></ul>General Skills:<ul><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and strong command of spoken and written English.</li><li>Commitment to student-centered, interactive teaching with an emphasis on professional and interpersonal communication.</li><li>Passion for innovative pedagogy and fostering a dynamic, inclusive learning environment.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.</li><li>Potential for scholarly research engagement.</li></ul>Desirable Skills and Attributes:<ul><li>Experience with online and hybrid teaching.</li><li>Active engagement with design and technology communities.</li><li>Strong communication skills, both written and oral.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to integrate theory and practice in design education.</li><li>Familiarity with emerging trends and futures design methodologies.</li></ul>Application Deadline:&nbsp;Open until a suitable candidate is found.Anticipated start date:&nbsp;September, 2025Application Instructions:&nbsp;Applicants should complete the online application and include the following materials:<ul><li>A cover letter describing previous related experience and scholarly interests.</li><li>A current CV.</li><li>Contact details (name, e-mail address, telephone number of at least three persons who have known you in a professional or research context).</li></ul>
