The American College of Greece (ACG) is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join its Technical Services Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and management of maintenance activities, new projects, and equipment renewal across the College’s extensive facilities.Key Responsibilities:Maintenance &amp; Equipment Management<ul><li>Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and contract execution for mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance.</li><li>Oversee the planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance for all electromechanical systems.</li><li>Ensure proper documentation and tracking of maintenance activities, faults, corrective actions, and system performance.</li><li>Provide regular reports on maintenance status.</li><li>Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation for maintenance and equipment renewal.</li></ul>Project Coordination &amp; Infrastructure Upgrades<ul><li>Coordinate new installations, equipment replacements, and facility improvement projects.</li><li>Oversee the embedding and design updates of electromechanical infrastructure.</li><li>Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet regulatory standards.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility maintenance and project management.</li><li>Experience in managing maintenance and infrastructure projects.</li><li>Knowledge of quality assurance/control will be considered a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with energy management systems and building automation is an asset.</li></ul>Required Skills:<ul><li>Strong problem-solving and coordination abilities.</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects efficiently.</li></ul>Other requirements:This is an office-based position with frequent site visits across the College’s extensive premises and campuses.

Mechanical Engineer

The American College of Greece (ACG) is seeking a dynamic Junior Project Engineer to join the Technical Services Department. The successful candidate will support the Technical Director in the coordination and execution of new construction projects and building maintenance operations across the ACG campus. This is an office-based position with frequent site visits across the College’s extensive premises and campuses.Job ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination<ul><li>Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of construction and maintenance projects</li><li>Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and budgets</li><li>Support supervision of on-site works to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards</li><li>Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders</li></ul>Contracts and Procurement Support<ul><li>Assist in the preparation and review of technical and commercial documentation for tenders</li><li>Support the drafting, management, and monitoring of project contracts</li><li>Prepare technical and financial comparison tables for bids and supplier offers</li><li>Assist in supplier evaluation and procurement procedures</li><li>Follow up on procurement processes and delivery schedules</li></ul>Technical Support<ul><li>Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation</li><li>Assist in addressing technical issues during project implementation</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and safety requirements</li></ul>Maintenance Coordination<ul><li>Support the planning and monitoring of building maintenance activities</li><li>Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance tasks</li><li>Maintain records of maintenance schedules and interventions</li></ul>Administrative and Organizational Support<ul><li>Review drawings, BOQs, and technical documentation</li><li>Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting minutes</li><li>Maintain project documentation, correspondence, and filing systems</li><li>Support the coordination of meetings and internal communications</li><li>Perform any other duty as assigned by the supervisor</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil engineer or surveying engineer)</li><li>Master of Science will be considered an asset</li><li>2–5 years of relevant experience (entry-level candidates with strong potential are also encouraged)</li><li>Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)</li><li>Familiarity with project management tools and AutoCAD is a plus</li></ul>Skills and Competencies<ul><li>Strong organizational and multitasking skills</li><li>Analytical thinking and attention to detail</li><li>Good understanding of construction and technical processes</li><li>Effective communication and teamwork abilities</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines</li><li>Proactive attitude and willingness to learn</li><li>Professional discretion and reliability</li></ul>
