Senior Project Manager

Sunsail is recruiting flotilla hosts based in Greece and Croatia to work in the Mediterranean for the Summer. Full seasonal roles are available on a one-week or two-week flotilla route. Based in Athens, Greece, and reporting to the Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the technical office across multiple project phases, with a strong focus on budgeting, cost planning, and coordination.Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:<ul><li>Coordinating technical office operations to support the planning, execution, and delivery of construction and infrastructure projects</li><li>Preparing and reviewing cost estimates based on project documentation, technical drawings, and site requirements</li><li>Supporting budget planning and cost control throughout all phases of project development</li><li>Monitoring actual project costs and identifying variances to improve future estimations and financial accuracy</li><li>Liaising with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure alignment between project budgets and financial planning</li><li>Managing procurement activities related to ongoing projects, including supplier communication, order tracking, and material planning</li><li>Assisting in licensing procedures and documentation required for project compliance in both public and private sectors</li><li>Conducting quantity take-offs and supporting pre-measurement activities for project planning and execution</li><li>Participating in the preparation of technical studies, tender documentation, and project proposals</li><li>Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to ensure coordinated project delivery</li><li>Maintaining structured records and reports using MS Excel and relevant software tools to support project tracking</li><li>Monitoring project progress and ensuring timely delivery of technical and administrative tasks</li><li>Any other task that may be required from time to time</li></ul>Professional experience &amp; qualifications of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant field</li><li>2 – 4 years of experience within the construction industry</li><li>Strong proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with cost estimation tools such as Candy, CostOS or similar is a strong plus</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel</li><li>Fluency in Greek and English (both written and verbal)</li></ul>Core competencies of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Analytical and detail-oriented mindset</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams</li></ul>
