Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manages insurance databases and spreadsheets for marine and non-marine covers, ensuring accuracy and completeness;</li><li>Completes application forms and distributes insurance documents internally;</li><li>Inputs insurance contracts into relevant software systems;</li><li>Maintains insurance-related statistics and conducts market research;</li><li>Processes financial transactions and payments within the SAP system;</li><li>Handles calls to War Risks AP areas and manages additional premiums;</li><li>Maintains claims database, submits reimbursement requests, and monitors collections;</li><li>Provides internal support on insurance queries;</li><li>Prepares insurance-related spreadsheets and presentations, and maintains department intranet section;</li><li>Conducts sanctions checks to ensure compliance and maintain records of findings;</li></ul>Candidate must have<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies or Business Administration</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in marine insurance underwriting, claims handling, brokerage or with an insurance team of a shipmanagement company</li><li>Strong knowledge of marine insurance products, terminology and industry practices</li><li>Fluency with numbers and good command of MS Office (especially MS Excel)</li><li>Very good command of the English language</li><li>Team spirit, excellent communication skills</li></ul>The Company offers an attractive compensation and benefits package, as well as career opportunities. Insurance Officer

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Communicates to Masters Voyage instructions, port requirements, local regulations, cargo requirements and precautions, ship’s charter party description and applicable clauses.</li><li>Checks&nbsp;cargo docs, LOIs, bunker requirements and authorizes bunker invoices.</li><li>Issues voyage instructions, ship’s cargo holds preparation instructions and Monitors ship’s cargo holds condition and preparation.</li><li>Communicates with charterers via broking channels.</li><li>Monitors the actual day-to-day performance and financial expenditure of the vessels.</li><li>Coordinates with Chartering department in describing vessel’s particular characteristics and reviews Charter Party clauses.</li><li>Appoints cargo and bunker surveyors and port agents and arranges various services that the ship requires. Updates position list and position books, checks with agent the ship’s prospects and approves D/As.</li><li>Liaises with the Insurance and Claims Departments in handling of claims, hazardous situations, accidents and P &amp; I involvement.</li><li>Monitors the performance of the vessels based on charter party and Company’s requirements and guidelines. Also monitors the daily performance at Sea with regards to speed, consumption and weather conditions.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:<ul><li>5&nbsp;years of office experience as Operator&nbsp;in a shipping company with bulk carriers.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li><li>Computer literate.</li><li>Communication &amp; negotiation skills.</li></ul>

Fleet Operator

Implements and monitors all recruiting activities and processes for the assigned vessels according to the provided manning plan, in order to timely and accurately meet the requirements of vessels. Liaises with the crew, in order to identify potential training needs and support their well-being on-board. Ensure environmental compliance policies are upheld. Execution of the manning plan <ul><li>Reviews the contractual agreements and the vessels’ manning plan, performing and monitoring all selection steps, i.e. identification, evaluation and selection of crew, for the effective recruitment of the most suitable and qualified candidates, according to ship flag legislation, technical requirements and available budget.</li><li>Proposes and implements the relief/rotation planning and EoC procedures of the ships’ personnel, focusing on the provision of alternatives for the continuous and effective operation of the vessels.</li><li>Prepares and implements Crew planning (timeliness reliefs, accuracy of documentation, budget compliance, response to customer requests).</li><li>Reviews and approves the employment contracts of all assigned vessels’ seafarers issued by the CSCs, to ensure&nbsp; they are according to company’s procedures and agreed terms and local/flag legislation.</li></ul>Vessel Personnel Management<ul><li>Coordinates with the FP Manager and CSCs regarding the prompt and accurate implementation of changes in ports’ procedures, such as visas, permissions, etc., concerning the smooth embarkation and disembarkation of crew members if management intervention required.</li><li>Implements the relief/rotation planning and lay-off procedures according to the contractual agreements and vessels’ needs for each seafarer, focusing on the provision of alternatives for the continuous and effective operation of the&nbsp;vessels. Liaises with vessels, CSCs/manning agencies, port agents travel agents in order to ensure that crew embarkations/ disembarkations on vessels are carried out in the most efficient and cost effective way.</li><li>Communicates with flag state authorities in order to gather information related to the specific regulations each flag state may require. Maintains and regularly updates all required documentation, so as to safeguard the legitimate operation of vessels and employment of seafarers.</li></ul>Increase of seafarers skills <ul><li>Monitors and evaluates the performance of the assigned vessels’ seafarers and identifies their training needs, develops and proposes the training plan and cooperates with the company’s training centres so as to provide the required training for the improvement of technical skills and competencies of officers and ratings. Follows-up the successful completion of all training courses, in order to enhance the efficiency of the crewmembers for the safe and effective operation of all vessels.</li></ul>Effective operation of the Department <ul><li>Support the development, submission and implementation of the department’s budget, reviews its accurate execution, identifies cost saving opportunities and proposes corrective actions in case of deviations, in order to ensure compliance with set targets.</li><li>Co-ordinate with CSC / GSC and make sure all manning activities outsourced to CSC / GSC are timely and accurately performed.</li></ul>Management of resources<ul><li>Develops effective batching of seafarers allocation to assigned vessels, in order to generate cost effective travelling&nbsp;to all vessel, as well as timely coverage of operational needs.
