software engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Food Shopping and QCommerce teams and help us deliver a seamless and personalized ordering experience for our users. We are a team of energetic, motivated and restless tech enthusiasts that take on the challenge of empowering our customers and internal users. We do that by providing them with the necessary intuitive technologies through creating a wide range of software solutions.

What you 'll do:

• Deliver high quality software responsible for serving hundreds of thousands of requests per minute.
• Investigate new technologies and strategies to help our services scale to larger data sets and quicker speeds into the future.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, DevOps engineers and Tech leads as part of an agile team, to build reliable systems and exceed stakeholders expectations.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Practice modern software development methodologies and agile processes.
• Experiment with new frameworks and technologies and learn continuously.

What you need to be successful

• University and/or Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of working experience.
• Solid knowledge on any mainstream programming language (such as Go, Java, Python, C++, C# etc). Any relevant experience on Go or python will be considered a plus.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational database systems (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, Postgres).
• Basic understanding of software design principles (e.g., SOLID) and design patterns, with a willingness to deepen knowledge.
• Experience consuming and developing REST APIs.
• Strong sense of ownership in your work.
• A proactive problem-solver who can learn and adapt quickly.
• Keen to constantly learn and improve your own skills, and not afraid to jump into new things.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills (English is a must).

Nice to have:

• Exposure in microservice architecture
• Experience working in an Agile team.
• Involvement with open source projects is a plus.
