The job holder iis responsible for developing and executing the category’s product strategy to drive profitability and performance. The role ensures a competitive assortment aligned with customer needs, leverages data for decision-making, and collaborates with internal teams and vendors to deliver a strong commercial outcome.
Key accountabilities:
Develop and implement the buying strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer demands.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating terms, and securing the best product offerings to maximize profitability.
Curate a balanced assortment that reflects current trends, seasonal demands, and customer preferences while ensuring stock availability.
Stay updated on global fashion trends, emerging designers, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
Monitor category performance through sales, margin, and stock reports, and implement corrective actions to achieve budget targets.
Work closely with Merchandising, Marketing, and E-commerce teams to create cohesive campaigns and in-store presentations for the Women Seasonal & Lingerie category.
Understand the needs and preferences of target customer segments, using data insights to refine product selection and drive customer satisfaction.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field.
At least 4 years of experience in buying within the fashion retail industry, ideally with a focus on Women Seasonal & Lingerie brands.
Strong understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape in Women Seasonal & Lingerie.
Proficient English skills (both oral and verbal).
Knowledge of Italian will be considered a plus.
Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel) and Business Intelligence Analytics.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in retail systems and data-driven decisionmaking.
Passion for fashion and a keen eye for detail and trends.
