financial security compliance officer

Within the 2nd Line of Defense Compliance team, Worldline is looking to hire a Financial Security Compliance Officer.

The main function of the Financial Security Compliance Officer is to safeguard Worldline for non-compliance with international AML/CTF and Sanctions laws and regulations and protect the company from being used for unlawful activities. The Financial Security Compliance officer stays abreast of all applicable regulatory regimes and other industry requirements that may have an impact on our business. This includes payments industry compliance obligations and best practices throughout the company and, to a limited extent, the company’s merchant partners.

 His/her/their role will be to:

•            To investigate transactional patterns escalated by the 1LoD and report irregularities indicative of money laundering or terrorist financing to the authorities;

•            To check transactions on potential sanction violations and report these to the authorities;

•            To advise Management and stakeholders on KYC, AML/CTF and Sanction related risks and requirements;

•            To perform oversight on Financial Security related risks by creating dashboards and trend analysis;

•            To advise on effectiveness and efficiency improvements on automated AML/Sanction systems and controls;

•            To keep track of regulatory and industry Financial Crime standards and requirements;

•            To keep relevant KYC, AML/CTF and Sanctions policies and procedures up-to-date;

•            To foster a strong compliance culture within the company and develop/maintain a Financial Security training and awareness program;

•            To conduct and support the AML/CTF reports/surveys (internal and external);

•            To actively collaborate with stakeholders like 1LoD monitoring analysts and KYC investigators;

•            To advise on Financial Security related risks in new or existing business propositions;  

The Financial Security Compliance Officer will operate in an international environment and work closely with various teams in the organization (Risk, Compliance, Legal, Sales…).

He/She/They will report to the Head of Compliance located within Worldline Greece.

Experience

 •           University degree in criminology, law, finance or business

•            At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in a multi-cultural, global business environment in the financial services industry

•            Preferably CAMS certified

•            Strong knowledge of relevant supervision laws a.o. PSD2, AMLD4/5, FATF recommendations, Sanctions laws

•            Compliance/Risk management experience is a strong plus

•            Knowledge of the card payment or financial services industries is a strong plus.
