We seek experienced and talented individuals as a Certified Sports instructor to join the Atlantica Beach Resort 5* in Kos island for the season 2026.
Responsibilities
To have full product knowledge of the hotel where you are working.
To perform any other duty if required and asked for by your Team Leader, Group Entertainments Manager or Hotel General Manager.
Actively integrate with the guests/ staff inside the hotel.
Maximize the guest’s expectation and experience.
To be well groomed, tidy, clean and always wear the expected Uniform at work, which must be clean and presentable. To wear a name badge at all times excluding water activities.
To perform all activities/ classes as directed by the Team Leader, Group Entertainment Manager.
To be punctual at all times and never miss an activity/ class. Time keeping is necessary and all entertainers have to follow the hours set in the weekly entertainment program.
To handle all sports/ fitness equipment used for classes with care and maintain it in good working condition.
To look after the equipment and to ensure proper use and storage at night and during the day. You must inform your Team Leader of any damages to any of the equipment.
To ensure that the entertainments daytime equipment storage room/ area is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times.
It is the Sport and Fitness team members’ responsibility to ensure that all safety aspects/checks of the area where the classes will be located take place prior to the class. All areas to be checked to ensure the safety of the guests and the staff. Should any issues arise you must inform the Team Leader immediately to complete the incident logbook at reception, if the Team Leader is not available you must complete the logbook at reception and inform the Manager on duty and the Health and safety department. A full report made of the incident.
Establish a solid and friendly relationship with all colleges within the hotel. Treat all other staff members with respect at all times.
To report all complaints from customers to the Team Leader at once.
To give a weekly report on the gym equipment and to report to the supplying company any issues so they can respond immediately.
Make a special effort in keeping Guests happy and entertained at all times, assisting the Team Leader in making changes to class type when necessary.
Assist the guests to have fun and exercise and always being aware of the fitness levels, ensuring all classes are suitable.
At times, you may be required to assist at an Atlantica sister hotel. Flexibility is of the upmost.
To achieve the tour operator CSQ’s as set by the company
To achieve the maximum in-house questionnaires results
To achieve target set for Trip advisor
To adhere to the hotel Health & Safety rules and regulations
Requirements
Must have the relevant Qualifications in fitness
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
Excellent organisational and management skills.
Be able to work well under pressure and long hours.
Good communicational skills
Be good in PR with the guests
Be polite and pleasant personality, and good manners
Fluent in English. Knowledge of an alternative language is an advantage.
Able to work as a team member or individually.
Pleasant personality, excellent appearance, flexible, decisive, reliable and creative character.
