backend developer (python)

WINGS ICT Solutions is looking for a Python Backend software engineer that will be responsible for the design, development and deployment of RESTful APIs and web services, along with maintaining and improving our existing services.

Requirements

Educational requirements:

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Information and Communications Technologies, Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering or equivalent

Essential technical skills:

• At least two years working experience as a backend developer

• In-depth knowledge of Python programming language and Django framework

• Experience in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)

• Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

• Knowledge of RESTful API design principles

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience with Development in cloud (or Virtual) environments, such as AWS.

• Familiarity with Docker

• Object-Relational mapping tools

• Experience in non-relational databases (MongoDB)

• Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins)

Other qualifications:

• Excellent Communicational skills, oral and written

• Ability to handle efficiently multiple tasks

• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership of all involved activities

• Candidate must be able to work independently or within a team environment

• Ability to create comprehensive solutions

• Fluent English, oral and written
