cyber security engineer (athens, thessaloniki, heraklion crete)

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you’ll act as the interface between the technical disciplines and the business to carry out technically orientated security assessments, setting security requirements for new products and services, while also assessing compliance and risk. You will provide security design and architecture guidance, general security consultancy, and act as a cyber coach to agile projects and teams to ensure the security of future products, services, and features for Vodafone Greece.

• More specifically you will:

• Assist Vodafone Greece to comply with Group’s cyber security control framework

• Ensure products adhere to Secure by Design principles  

• Identify potential Cyber Risks in newly developed products and services

• Guide product teams on Security Tools onboarding

• Provide advice and guidance to internal and external customers on security related matters

Who you are

• Bachelor's and/ or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field 

• Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in cyber security 

• Relevant cyber certifications are considered a strong plus 

• Effective communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders 

• Capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures 

• Strong aptitude for staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices 

• Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards (i.e. ISO27001, NIST SP 800-53) 

• Knowledge of the main security controls to secure networks and applications, and of the Secure by design principles

• Use global Cyber Security Demand process and tools to manage delivery demand (Track and record resource allocation & capacity utilisation, Allocate Demands from Team queue to individuals.)
