We are seeking a business analyst with over 5 years of experience in completing business process analysis and requirements gathering to support the delivery of complex software development projects, particularly in the areas of compliance and regulatory reporting.

Support reporting functions for regulatory regimes like EMIR, CFTC, MAS, FMIA, REMIT, and MiFID.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding and verifying arguments for change, completing process analysis, and defining requirements for business, function, and design.

This will be completed across multiple projects within the trading division. The candidate will be in charge of managing relationships and expectations with business collaborators and sponsors, while supporting development and testing teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills and work effectively in new domains.

  • Strong passion for working as a business analyst in financial regulations and compliance domain.

  • Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with both business and IT collaborators.

  • Solid knowledge of various financial instruments, including equities, futures, options, and swaps.

  • Hands-on experience with regulatory reporting applications such as Axiom (or similar) is a plus.

  • Prior exposure to Capital Markets, Investment Banking or Commodities Trading is a strong advantage.

  • Well-versed in modern development methodologies, including iterative development, continuous integration, and Agile practices.

  • Strong academic background with a degree from a reputable university, preferably in a discipline that emphasises logical thinking, precision and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit, define, and articulate business and functional requirements using a range of analysis artifacts, including Scope Documents, Business Requirements Documents (BRD or equivalent experience), Functional Specifications Documents (FSD), and User Stories.

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders involved in regulatory reporting, compliance, market surveillance, position limit monitoring, and reconciliation systems.

  • Coordinate and communicate extensively with both internal stakeholders (e.g., Compliance, Derivatives Operations, IT) and external parties (e.g., solution vendors, brokers, trading platforms).

  • Collaborate with business teams to define UAT scope, develop test strategies, and design functional test scenarios.

  • Complete test cases to ensure that deliverables meet specified functional requirements.

  • Coordinate analysis and development work performed by external vendor teams.

  • Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure business requirements are effectively translated into delivered solutions.

  • Provide third-line support for production issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
