The Frances Rich School of Fine and Performing Arts at Deree – The American College of Greece invites applications for a Part-Time Instructor in Visual Arts, with focus on sculpture, participatory, and site-specific practices.
Required Qualifications:
- MA and significant professional experience, or MFA or PhD in a closely related field.
- Ministry of Education Faculty Registry Number (required prior to contract start date).
- Professional experience as a contemporary interdisciplinary artist.
- Ability to teach fundamentals of sculpture.
Required Skills:
- Teaching experience in higher education, preferably in English-speaking institutions.
- Emphasis on foundational instruction in sculpture, including participatory and site-specific methods.
- Ability to guide students in completing interdisciplinary art projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A portfolio (or website) demonstrating professional work is required.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in community-engaged art projects.
- Ability to teach either Digital Image (Photoshop) or Video Art (Premiere Pro).
- Interest in interdisciplinary teaching (curatorial, organizational, theoretical).
- Demonstrated links with arts organizations, museums, galleries, schools, or community groups.
