As a Technical Pre-Sales Engineer you will play a crucial role in bridging technical expertise with business development strategies. This role involves supporting technical replies of international tenders, driving business growth through strategic initiatives and concrete knowledge of the competition, as well as participation in international tender and contract trials. The ideal candidate will leverage their engineering background, understanding and addressing of critical customer supportability requirements and develop further their business acumen to enhance operational efficiency and secure new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Technical Business Development, we are searching for a Technical Pre-Sales Engineer, that will:
Prepare Technical Proposals for international tenders
Provide technical support to BD Team and liaise with the R&D Team
Review technical information for marketing material
Participate in product trials and training sessions (for colleagues and end-users)
Prepare competitor mapping per product
Perform Spares Parts Provisioning and Maintenance Level Analyses for international tenders
Analyze customer requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions.
Qualifications:
University degree of Engineering or Physics or Applied Physics
Excellent command of the English Language
Excellent command of the MS Office suite
Good interpersonal skills
Specialization in Optics/Photonics and/or Optoelectronic Devices or any relevant to the above tasks field will be considered as a plus
Strong presentation skills: Ability to deliver technical presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Excellent written communication skills for writing proposals, documentation, and emails
Interpersonal skills: Ability to engage with clients, understand their needs, and translate that into a technical solution with particular emphasis on two-way communication and team working
Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn new products and technologies and apply them to diverse customer environments
Time management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple opportunities and projects at once.
