The Tesla EMEA Supply Chain team is looking for an all-rounder highly motivated buyer. You will be working directly with our Drive Systems Engineering. This team is responsible for engineering development, rapid prototyping, lab operations, and all new developments related to Tesla electric drive systems. We require a hands-on Supply Chain Manager to streamline procurement, logistics, and supplier management for the engineering lab and prototyping activities. This role will ensure seamless material flow, allowing engineers to focus on product innovation while you manage the operational workflows related to supply chain activities.

• Serve as a key liaison between our engineering team's material requirements and Tesla's procurement organization, ensuring timely and effective fulfillment of material demand while maintaining a strong interface with the responsible buyer who sources suppliers and conducts contract negotiations. 

• Act as the on-site prototyping and general procurement buyer 

• Dive deep into supplier quotes to define and negotiate best costing  

• Evaluate supplier business proposals and present recommendations that will result in fast supply, cost savings, avoidance or containment 

• Ensure supply activation required for engineering/development activities 

• Oversee and manage the supply chain to ensure a stable and timely flow of materials 

• Work collaboratively on a cross-functional level with other departments like engineering, supplier industrialization, quality, logistics and many more

• You live and breathe procurement! You have a drive to make sure that all assigned buying requisition and need of supply are in control 

• You possess a higher vocational or university qualification in a subject such as automotive engineering, mechanical engineering or business management, or equivalent experience 

• Specific diploma’s Supply Chain/Purchasing are preferred 

• Experience in purchasing one or more of the relevant product groups and have in-depth knowledge of the products 

• Automotive experience preferred 

• Experience in purchasing inverter components, electronics and raw materials is a plus 

• You are fluent in English
