permanent magnet scientist
Περιγραφή Θέσης
As a Permanent Magnet Scientist in our team, you will focus on the R&D of both low and high-performance permanent magnets. Your work will span the full magnet lifecycle, from alloy design and powder production through compaction, sintering, heat treatment, and magnetic characterization.
This role requires deep understanding of metallurgy, rare-earth magnet processing, and structure-property performance relationships, with an emphasis on translating laboratory development into robust, scalable manufacturing processes.
Τι θα κάνετε
Document the current state-of-the-art technologies.
Couple magnet technologies with their corresponding magnetic properties.
Develop R&D roadmaps for next-generation materials.
Document the available development methods of permanent magnets, from alloy selection and powder production to compaction, sintering, and post-sinter heat treatments.
Perform root cause analysis of magnetic, mechanical, or processing failures using data-driven and metallurgical approaches.
Author and maintain standard operating procedures, manufacturing instructions, and training documentation for material processes.
Τι θα έχετε μαζί σας
Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Ceramics, Physics, or a related field.
Experience in rare-earth magnet processing, powder metallurgy, or closely related materials systems.
Hands-on experience on: Rare -earth alloy processing, Powder preparation and milling, Magnetic field alignment and compaction, Sintering and post-sinter heat treatments
Strong understanding of microstructure–magnetic property relationships in magnetic materials.
Familiarity with thermal processing systems (vacuum furnaces, sintering furnaces), inert-atmosphere powder handling, and magnet fabrication equipment.
Experience with magnetic characterization techniques (e.g., hysteresis loops, flux measurements) is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex material and process challenges using structured, data-driven methods.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with engineering, quality, and production teams.
Περιγραφή Εταιρείας
Our mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. With global temperatures rising, the faster we free ourselves from fossil fuel reliance and achieve a zero-emission future, the better.
In pursuit of this mission, we make electric vehicles that are not just great EVs, but the best cars, period. We also produce and install infinitely scalable clean energy generation and storage products that help our customers further decrease their environmental impact. When it comes to achieving our goals, we pride ourselves in accomplishing what others deem impossible.
We are opening new factories and increasing our output everyday – join us in building a sustainable future.
