ifrs/reporting accountant (on-site)

The IFRS/Reporting Accountant will actively support the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensure proper IFRS adjustments, and handle provisions calculation and posting. This role combines hands-on accounting postings with the preparation of IFRScompliant reports and active  participation in monthly and annual closing.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS & GR GAAP.

• Performs IFRS adjustments, with a strong focus on IFRS 16 (leases) and related disclosures.

• Calculates, posts, and reconciles provisions and accounting estimates.

• Maintains the General Ledger and ensures consistency with IFRS and internal policies.

• Supports the monthly closing process and contributes to timely reporting.

• Collaborates with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and transparency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• 5 – 7 years of working experience in Accounting or Audit. Previous experience in Big 4 will be preferred.

• Excellent knowledge of IFRS standards, with proven experience in IFRS 16. Familiarity with other IFRS standards (e.g. IFRS 9, IFRS 15) and IFRS compliance financial statements will be considered a plus.

• Fluency in Greek and English (verbal and written).

• Hand on experience with SAP (IFRS 16 module).

• IT literate (MS Office and extensive use of Excel for reconciliations, modeling, financial reporting and data analysis, using pivot tables and formulas).
